from what ive heard from people who actually weighed it...anywhere from 500 to 520lbs is about right with average mods (full exhaust, trimmed tail, flushmounts, etc)

Mine weighs 496 full of gas. My carbon tank carries an extra gallon so the bike would weigh in right at 489 to 490. And that is with Magnesium wheels, a Carbon fiber tank, 520 chain & sprockets, Carbon and Titanium everything. The stocker weighs 560 full of gas.

the bike im entertaining buying a 12 thats supposed to be 70 pounds under stock . just wondering what kind of weight that would come out to .
i know 70 sounds like alot but this bike is a big $ carbon clad machine . im sure its about as light as you can make one .

uhhgg , 560 is sled weight.... i think my turbo zx11 is less than that ...
suddenly this sounds less appealing.... but ill probably buy it anyways...

Uh Bill I have no doubts the 11 weighs more than the ZX12.
A ZX12 with 70lbs removed off of it is pretty close to a GSXR1000 wet weight.
Mine weighed ~512 lbs with 2 gallons of gas. (697 with me on it)

512 is about what i had guessed (520) , and more what i wanted to hear

i was just a bit suprised to hear 560# of a 12 ! the people that shipped my 11 to me said it weighs in at 536# .

I would assume who ever shipped your 11 to you didn't ship it full of gas. Technically they are to ship it without gas or oil usually. And the 560 is a real number. 70 pounds off is possible. My GSXR1000R with a Yosh full Ti exhaust on it, turn signals removed, tank full to the brim weighs out at 417.

What is important to realize is a 495 pound 12 full of gas weighs less then a ZX9 full of gas. But in no way is a ZX11 as light as a ZX12.

the 11 shipped full of oil , with a turbo hanging on it , gas gauge was on empty but i dumped maybe a gallon out .
im not saying my 11 weighs less.... i think ya miss my point . i know the 11 has to weigh more . thats why i was suprised to hear 560 !
fine folks at haulbikes.com . great shipper should you ever need one !

anyways , im just trying to get an idea the actual weight of this bike before i hand over quite the stack for it .

My ZRX weighed 480 after a pass at Prostar. It has a stainless exhaust, magnesium rear wheel, lighter shocks, a lot of stuff taken off. The lockup spacer and NX kit add 10 lbs at least. I didn't realize I had it so good.

Mine weighed 695-700 with me on it and almost a full tank of gas, so I'd have to say my bike weighs 520 or so.. Scales at the track are correct I am sure since the weight has been steadily getting less every time I cut something else off the bike!!

With about a 1/2 tank of gas, the bike alone weighed 520 on the track scales at the Motorplex. The bike weighed 745 with me on it in full leathers.

my bike weighs 510 with about 2 1/2 gallons of gas, and rember I have extra weight in chain and extended arm, Im thinking stock wheelbase, I would loose 5 more pounds. My goal this year is to get it below 500, I have taken off almost all of the metal brackets that are holding the wiring, have RC rims, custom bar ends, no turn signals, MM fender kit, custom oil pan mod, I have removed any extra stuff that I feel was not needed, shoot if I had the Titanium Sidewinder I would probably loose another 5-10lbs, only 1 rotor and lines on the front also, some of the Mods for next year!!!! as $$$ allows,
Titanium internal bolt's, mainly for the clutch area, rotating mass
Titanium wheel Axle's, (have a shop working on them as we speak.
Aluminum cover bolts, for both sides
Zhooligans front sprocket mod,
remove all foam from inside of plastic,
CF rear fender, if I can make one.. LOL....
Ti-Sidewinder (dreaming, dream, dream, dreaming!!)LOL... hey maybe santa is listening.
Billet Basket Mod,
drag racing rear rotor,
and Im sure there are a couple of other things I would like to do but I cant think of them right now.....

Mike I noticed you arent running a 520 chain. That should be good for a 1lb or 2. Do you have the stock rotor bolts? Titanium should shave a few ounces there.
I guess it gets into cubic dollars. A few cell could save some weight over the stock tank.
The Front fairing bracket could be made out of lightweight aluminum brackets.
The rear subframe could be make lighter.

Get out you $$$$

I remember reading Ryan Schnitz's post about Ti bolts on his 60inch 12. He spent $1100 and saved about a pound and a half. How about $3 for a box of Ex-Lax before a record attempt?
