Big Thanks to Tim Chin! Mr X Dot Racing

Tim and Karl turned me onto a jointed arm instead of the regular DI arms for checking cam timing, PTV(with the patented Tim Chin PTV tool) ect. McMaster Carr doesnt ship to Canada however. Im pretty sure this is one of Tims favourite stores, so he was kind enough to place an order for me, then ship it up himself. He also included a whole kit of tips, shims ect, even a couple pre bent tips that will reach in around the 12R cam cap. We werent sure about the shipping limitations on magnets, so he sent the base in a seperate box. it was held up in customs a little longer, but did get through today.

and now he wont let me pay for any of it! wow THANKS AGAIN, Ill repay the favour somehow

Hey Scott,

You've come so far so quickly with your engine building skills. I can't think of anyone more deserving of some swag than you. I certainly didn't expect you to 'out' me like this on the forum, as what I meant by Bikeland Karma was just that you'd continue the tradition that Karl started by nurturing the next generation of up-and-coming forum rats who aren't afraid to ask questions, do some research and constructively contribute to a great forum. I hope you enjoy your new toys!

There is no end to the intellectual largess of Dr Chin

Several issues which stumped me for several years were solved with a casual comment by Tim; he shoulda been a professor.

From Pazole to McMaster-Carr part numbers to rude Indian music vids, Tim has something for every occasion.

One thing McM-C doesn't seem to have is popsicle sticks for getting pistons into cylinders.
Noting that gap, I was happy to finally be in a position to contribute something back to Tim.
He now has 20,013 popsicle sticks, enough for many, many builds.
