wow! uncomprehensible for most of us, me included in what it takes to make that speed. Crazy.

I think most are forgetting the other side of this equation . . .STOPPING at those speeds!
Bill major props, you are my hero, keep at it.
Hope we get to see what that puppy has left in it at Loring.

What it takes is desire, motivation and hard work at a level beyond which most of us cannot imagine. Bill raises tropical fish for sale through large retail outlets. Due to cold weather in Florida this winter he lost his entire crop and has to wait until now to start over. Rather than just sitting around he decided to upgrade his race program. Last year he ran 254 MPH at Texas without bodywork, an amazing feat in itself. His sponsors stepped up with new better parts and Bill spent 300 hours building the aerodynamic body pictured. The body has created some handling problems as it becomes a big sail if the wind comes from the side. The 272 is really the first time the bike has completed a run under power. Maxton is quite rough and traction at that power level is a challenge. We all await the Loring 1.5 mile event in early August on the super smooth long track. The potential to go faster is there but it will by no means be easy. I'm betting on Bill. LSL

What a team effort!

No doubt Steve is a top notch builder as much as Bill is a rider but Larry is the unsung hero who puts all this together, never have met him but hope to one day.
Their all motor program is unbelievable & Marc is to be commended on his riding abilities too.

Congratulations to the whole gang.

Guys, guys, I am very proud to be a part of Bill's success but it is a very small part. Bill and I bounce ideas back and forth as more imput is always good. Walt Kudron has helped Bill immensely with PR and obtaining sponsors. Steve did the engine and we all know how much stress it took to set the record. But Bill is the man; he developed a plan to have more HP and he created better aero with his own hands. His data logging and tuning is second to none. And he rides the wheels off the thing. See that picture on the home page? don't blink, the bike is moving at 400'/second. Unreal. LSL

I gotta agree with you Larry, both Bill & Steve are very, very talented individuals. I've visited with both of them at different venues and am in awe of their accomplishments but never have had the opportunity to congratulate you since you are behind the scenes. I know that Mark & Steve are always talking highly of you and that speaks volumes.

Like I said earlier, I hope to meet you one day and congratulate you in person for your accomplishments & contributions.

Dan
