what does the bottom look like on the ZX12T1200? (12 over, built in drag seat)
wondering what im in for for making an undertail....

you use the front bolts on the tank, the front tail bolts, and then make a hoop, like mine, and its good......., just barley have to rock it around those hoop mounts, and it goes on nice.
You will have plenty of room for anything you want, and still have a tall undertail, like I did to allow the right chassis squat, even on a bike as low as mine.

they shipped a week early, got 2 today, man are they ever LIGHT!  the stock rear seat and cowl is easily heavier than the entire new tail/seat

i made a hoop/brace tonight. got started lightening the sub frame too as it will never carry a passenger any more
so i have a buddy that paints, should i get the whole thing blue, or do the seat part black?

5 bolts , or in my case, 4 bolts, and a dzus fastener, and its off........
I can reach up under mine to hook up the lap top if I want........
Exact same seating position, as the catalyst seat......., and very light.

nope, but i moved all my electronics to under the tank cover. going to leave a cord hooked up to the pc, and have it somewhere that i can plug into with a usb extension cord without having to take off any body work

I decided to "swiss cheese" my sub frame seeing how its never going to carry another passenger and doesnt need to be as strong or heavy. made 12 in tail light brackets, support for the top of the tail, and made an undertail out of really thin aluminum (cuts with scissors thin), it was a 36x14in roll and i just trimmed the corners to fit. I should have tons of room for lowering/suspension travel

Very similar to what I did........, TONS of squat clearance....., even with a slick.
I would have put the hoop farther back....., you will still get a lot of tail bounce the way you have it, unless you put two on......., better safe than sorry.
