how do i fix this properly?

yeah, its carnage, but, what if you were replacing all the valves for over size ss and the exhaust seats for bronze? not to mention having it cnc ported.... would it be worth it if you could get it welded at a good price? what is the proper way to weld this without warping it?

besided welding i see 2 extra seats that need replaced and maybe 4 guides....

I think Jim can fix this? If it is equal or cheaper than a replacement, go for it. It's a shame to waste any of these parts.

Of course it can be fixed. The question is would it be worth it??? If it is just a stock head that has been cleaned up a little bit it would probably be cheaper just to buy another head. If it has a bunch of expensive port work and runs well then I would fix it.

Save the parts that can be saved and buy another head. I`ve heard Paul Gast has fixed heads that were worse than that. of course any welding on the head would include milling the surface and align boring the cam shaft area`s.

pull the 12 good valves before you make that lamp.
You could use that head to work on your new port design.
