MTC LOCK-UP FOR THE 12

Spoke to Tony Lang at MTC yesterday about the multi stage lock-up for the 12 and was very impressed at what he had to say. I think I will be buying it along with their billet basket. It's an expensive piece of kit but I want some thing of good quality and it has to be reliable.

Has anyone already got one of these set-ups or know someone who uses one. If so what do you\they think?

Cheers Ninja Missile

I found out about it in Gainsville.I was riding Scotty Jones's silver 12 with a MTC 1260CC kit and the new MTC lockup.1st run on the bike was a 9.00 and a 1.54 60foot.This was leaving real easy as it was my first run on this bike with a totally new clutch feel.Scotty showed me a time slip with a 1.41 60foot with a REAL light guy on it.I will deffinately be running this lockup next year.Scotty also said that was was incredibly easy on clutches.

The multi stage lock up for the 12 was $699. It's the one I'm getting for my other 12 along with their billett basket. I was talking with Tony Lang about it at the pro star finals and it looks like a great set up.

What advantage does the multi-stage offer over the 2 stage?
How hard is it to set-up for the average DIY'er.
Would this cause problem on a street bike?

I am not really familiar with these staged clutches. I am all about something that helps with launching and saving clutches. If you can drive it on the street regularly then I am definately in!

I was quoted $740 for the Multi stage plus $430 for the basket. You have to send them your old basket plus your clutch case.

Do you have to run their basket or will it work with a Falicon one?
