stroker vs stock pics
got a package in the mail today its an A model 4mm weld up that was originally in a 1361 build, so Im assuming its an old Muzzy crank. it will bump my 1287 to 1380cc. nothing huge, but should live a long time if i dont get carried away with nitrous, and will hopefully give a 1397 busa a run for the money at the drag strip

comparing to the damaged crank that came with dads bike:

Scott,
You will be thrilled with how the stroker comes out of the hole compared with non stroker.
Do NOT allow the pickup to become uncovered for even a sec... (that includes when dumping thr throttle at the end of the 1/4)
On the 1397's...
3-4 years ago there were some wickedly fast ones in this neck of the woods, but it seems that most power hungry Busa folk went to 1507, and then on to turbos.

Im really hoping to break into the high 1.3s and get the clutch to survive best so far was a 1.45. the extra tq shouldnt require as much slip and the pack held up nicely at the last race now that the chassis is tuned better and doesnt require as much slip to keep the front end on the ground. i got a few new tricks to try, and if that doesnt work ill look into using a busa/14 clutch(the machine shop will love me)
Im using my modified stock pan. it has baffles behind the pickup like the coby adams pan, and holds an extra 3/4 quart on the side. the slosh plate on top of the pan should help too. plus i fill it to just about the top of the sight glass. Nox has told me the stock pan was ok for low 1.3s (back when he was running bars im assuming)
Ill be logging oil pressure to be sure everything is ok though
turbo...someday

Did a Dyno shootout several years ago. There were 2 busas, a 1397 and a turbo. I beat the 1397 w/ my 1361, but the turbo busa @ > 280 hp was too much for all of us.

Mega, what was your 1361 putting to the tire? also, anything fancy in the motor? thx

I have several runs @ 212 rwhp. That day, w/o any ram air assist and on what everyone considered a stingy dyno, I only made 202 rwhp. My engine is balanced, has Weisco pistons with the longer skirt, superteked, the heads are ported and it was built by a master race engine builder. Mike was building engines for the Ducati race team @ the time he built my motor.

My understanding was that superteking is a process that makes the metal stronger.
