Shane,
Whatever you drive must get a LOT better mileage than my 1 ton diesel truck and trailer. My fuel cost just going one way would be more than your round trip cost. I'm about 500 miles closer too.

I recently got a 4.6l F150, and I am "dreaming" of 16 mpg. Our Safari van regularly got 8-10 mpg this past season...which really got expensive!!

Sure is perty!!!! Kind of close to Texas Mile date. Would be kind of cool to say hi to Noonan and the other West Coasters. About the same distance as Maxton. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

LOL!

500 miles closer than Shane is what I was trying to get at. I'm still a good 1900-2000 miles away from SoCal. I haven't moved anywhere.

However, I have been kicking around just flying out there to check out the race. It's only about 4 hours to LA by plane.

Ah! I guess I've never heard it referred to as sucking before. That, and I was pretty sure that the town of Mojave was not necessarily known for anything double-anal (ref: DVDA from Orgazmo - Google it!), which only added to my confusion.

Back to the topic of density altitude, March should still be pretty mild, and the runway is only about 2800' elevation. It's not like Willow Springs in August, where the density altitude can exceed 6000' at only 2500' elevation, or Big Bear Airport on a 90F day, when the density altitude can exceed 10000'.

We gotta do this guys, Karl, Gary, Cheese we gotta go there and go fast. It looks Loringess, is that a word? We could do it and then the Tx mile is the end of March. Is this Mojave Mile one or two days? Rich how bout you? I think we should seriously consider it. It has all the earmarks of TFA event. Far away, costly, no way to rationalize the trip or expenditure......see what I mean...........perrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect!

i just might put my bike back to stock length and ride up there if you guys do this. What all is needed to make licensing passes and whatnot? I have leathers, metal chain guard, kill switch, lowered oil pan with a recessed allen head drain plug, and enormous testicles. anything else needed other than a speedo healer to get rid of the limiter? There's a chance i may get deployed again in like april or may, but if i'm free I'd love to give the whole LSR thing a shot .
