zx12r ram air question
ok, you know that flat piece of plastic thats directly under the ram air tubes? it connects the tubes together somewhat and is attached by 4 screws and well nuts. looking thru the scoop you can clearly see the well nuts and tips of the bolts sticking up in the air flow. is that plastic thing really needed? those well nuts gotta be creating turbulence.. i really want to yank them out, fill the holes and make it smooth. theres some on the scoop i want to deal with too somehow. also the resonators stick up into the airflow aswell. would it be beneficial to trim them flush? i would like to get the most out of the ram air system, sealing the leaks will be next

i would be cautious about removing the flat plastic or the resonators.
Some wind tunnel guys want to control air flow in the area around the radiator.
I put my resonators back on...
ju-ju?????

maybe ill look into a much less obstructive fastner
im not considering removing the resonators completely, just the very tops, ill try to get a pic of what im trying to say...

A models have a detachable plastic bottle/ resonators on each size of the ram
