Jim,Oldkawboy did get my point across across,I hope you know what I said was tongue in cheek...there are some super knowledgable people on this board that contribute to the wealth of information about our bikes, you are certainly one of them. I just happen to be one of those people that need things explained to me like I am 6 yrs old...lol and you are ale to do that...No harm intended.

Ok,glad you caught the joke....I am a lil surprised you wont ride it on the street,I just bought an 08 and it would make a nice sport tourer. I guess you have other bikes in your plans as well.

Yea the wife wants somthing thats good for 2 up. She sold her bike a few years ago and doesnt like riding on the back of my 12r.
But i'm thinking I might get a power couch to ride on the street. Gold Wing or something?
I showed her the new BMW 1000 and she likes it. She might get her own bike again. If she gets that BMW then I wont need to get a street bike for my self. I'll borrow her bike, if i can find the key. ____________

Jim,how often do you think you would go on rides?(for the goldwing)And why build for drag racing when you are worried about injuries and business?

Jim,not considering a Concours14 ? Pete I think drag racing is safer than road racing in terms off get offs and stuff plus most of us here drag race and the rest seem to be involved in LSR. Fom a business standpoint I can understand why a 14 would be the bike of choice.

Well Sunday AM is always fun and action packed. That's the type of riding I (my wife agrees) cant to be doing anymore. I cant afford to be hurt badly. Killed is ok, my wife makes out well, but badly fucked up is another story.
I wont be drag racing my zx14 either. I will have someone that's not a TFA member like me ride it. I'm 225# so a 140# rider is 85# lighter. That's about a 12 hp gain right there.
Although I think I'll make a few passes on it this year at Loring. Weight isn't an issue at that venue.

Well you see, I like to ride at a spirited pace, as do the guys I usually ride with. So after a very short while, we start to ride way to fast having way too much fun. So If the bike is registered I will ride it like its meant to be ridden. And that's bad.
So maybe a Concourse? How much trouble can I get in on a concourse?

Ok, Jim cant wait to see what she looks like all done and ready to go!
I personally have been wanting to get a Ural or something like that to give the kids rides...

LOL, Yea that would be me Pete. If I get 2000 miles out of a set of tires I'm lucky.
I've tried "normal" group riding with a bunch of friends on Harley's and cruisers and it drives me nuts.
I'm in misery the whole time. Its like driving in bumper to bumper traffic at 30 mph on the highway on the way to work. And they spend as much time stopping at coffee shops as riding. Then I have to stand there and listen to the debate over which forward control set looks better. WGAF There all lawn tractors to me.
Maybe its me. Maybe I have a problem.

we dont have a problem, they do
there was a Harley at the track running maybe high 9s, he was 8 over and had a 2.5 litre motor. pretty much all billet. he said it ran on c14 and had straight 60 weight oil?? anyway he ended up telling us he spend $150 000 on the motor. when he left, the guy on the 14 "we could run 7s easy with that much money, but hes doing good for running 1930s tractor technology" ____________

See,that's my point! One side says you don't want to slow down, yet you talk of rides with the better half that drives you nuts on a goldwing. You put in a lot of hours and want to go out and just unwind yet the inner voice is calling to slow down.
