Something about the 02 has a different hose diagram or something. I was told that the 02 has different injectors. Anyone know anything about this? Maybe they are bigger injectors, hopefully someone here will know. I just know that I was also ordering a fuel pump from muzzy's with the kit and they said they did not have one for the 02. I want to try for 300rwhp on spray and 1361 + some goodies (cams, port work , carillos etc)

The 00-01 fuel pump is good for 200 HP then Muzzy says to up grade the fuel pump. The 02 has a newer fuel pump and fuel regulator witch is good for 300 HP. This is what I was e mailed from Muzzy
"Steven,
The 02 ZX-12R has a different injection system and so far, other than a
Turbo kited bike we have not had to change it.
The ZX-12R 00-01 needs the fuel pump anytime you reach 195 or better.
Thanks, Dave Turner".

Hey steve I think we got our 02's at about the same time. We also were one of the first 3 or 4 to get the stepped hindles. So what all are you running to get into the 8's?

I think we have established that a new fuel pump is not "needed" at 195hp
A mod to keep in mind yes...but certainly not a "needed" one.

I saw where A&J Performance is soon to be selling a dry setup that includes a nitrous controller and is linked to the PC3 somehow. I asked about the controller only and he said one should be available for the 12 next month. It's currently available for the Busa. Saw the post over on Pyschobike.com. Sounds like just what I want. One big shot with a controller that is mucho compacto. (I'm dating a latin chick).

Id comment...but my short times suckass as it is
ohwell...I launch around 5500 and try to pin the throttle as much as possible right off the line. I usually see the tach jump up to around 9500 as the clutch starts to engage

I stage at around 5000 with the extra arm and sticky tire. My timing is retarded only when I'm on the juice by the Schnitz retard box which doesn't happen til second gear.

Soon I will be taking my bike to a nos guru here in the UK to be worked on. I'm not happy with the dry kit cos of the fuel you have to keep adding via the PC. Even with your Schnitz retard box you will be running rich when not on the gas. I want a system whereby when I am not on the gas the bike is still making maximum power and not losing valuable power by running too rich.
When I took my bike to the dyno last year it made 173 at the rear (SAE) with just a Ackro and a filter. This year I had it on the Dyno with the map I use with the nos (nearly max fuel at 100% throttle) and it made 161. Thats a minus of 12hp due to the bike running so rich.
I'll let you know how it goes

Yosh EMS!! Three way map switch. Ride it to the track FULL POWER, switch to the NOS map to RACE, then add C16 and flip to the THIRD MAP for your last passes. Switch back to the first map and ride home. Ain't we all happy now......

Ninja did you run with the nos map on motor just to see the difference? If you set the bike to run on nos then you should dyno it on nos too, or that is exactly what will happen I tried it out of curiosity and went from 182 hp on motor and changed over with timing and fuel went to 147hp puffing fuel. That is normal the only way out of it is the yosh box that you can switch programs on the fly I think I'm going that way this year too. I'm going to post somemore top secret numbers so if you miss it here I'm sure schnitz will copy it to thear site.
-2 degrees at 40 hp and add 0.5 points of fuel for each thous of nitrous, in other words if you have an .036 jet you would add 18 points of fuel at 100% throttle. Hope that helps your tuner out I guess schnitz will know too I'm running out of secrets LOL. Just kidding Ryan.

Man..I dont get that at all...the 100% part of my map above 7k rpm is +45% fuel (max)
How is it you guys are losing 10 - 30 hp where im only losing 5. Its not like you can put more than that much fuel into the motor with the PC3.
what gives.

Being fat in first gear isn't much of a problem for me since my bike is on the edge of flipping over just on motor. I'm guessing you're going to be trying the new dry system made over in your country? Definitely like to hear your results, NM.

King, thats exactly what I did. I was just curious how much power I was losing with the bike running so rich. My a\f ratio was 12.1. On spray it made just over 201rwhp, thats with a 36 jet so thats about right I think. 161 without and 201 with gas gives a 40 shot. Anyway the guy I am going to has already developed a system for the Busa whereby he gets optimum fueling both on and off the gas. He is probabaly the best guy in my country for nos and turbo so I am hopeful he can come up with something. His main work is on Busas but lately he has had a lot of interest from 12 owners so he has decided to see if he can improve on the systems already out there. Anyway guys I'll keep you posted.

YCIS don't forget my bike makes 284 hp on the juice I have -6 degrees also on the pc3r that is why it looses so much, sorry I thought I explained it but now that you mention it maybe it was not clear sorry about that. And I also use the NGK race plugs which are safer but also loose a little top end hp, better safe than sorry.
NM those numbers sound right I hope the guidelines I posted help him out, I still have the stock fuel pump on my bike so I am sure there is still tuning available with a better pump, the injectors are capabale of 320 hp at 100 %duty meaning wide open but I don't think PC can do it maybe the yosh has a better range. Let us know how it all works out.

I was just curious at the motor loss numbers. I thought you said something like 180hp motor normal..and 140ish after your mods.
also run NGK CR10EK plugs but only pull out timing on the spray.

Timing changes are different for wet or dry systems we have run up to a .048 jet with normal timing and c-16 fuel no problem. I believe Cowboy is running two .036 jets with stock timing and c-16 no problems just thought you would like to know.
Apperently dynojet now makes a pc3r that is fuel adjustable to 100%.
