I'm looking doubtful for weds. They are calling for 40% chance of tstorms...too much risk for 5 hours of driving (for me anyway)...

I called and the guy told me 10 flat without a license, even at a test and tune. I'm not saying that I might not get away with it...but it's my policy not to knowingly violate the track rules, wherever I'm at.
I mean, if I were on the edge...like very high 9's or something...I wouldn't be as worried about it. But if I roll in there, and do click off an 8 second pass (which is my goal these days)...well, I have a feeling that might attract more attention...and would warrant them sending me packing.
I think I'm going to have to say "no" to this track...

No worries for me. My local tracks aren't NHRA. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to drive 120 miles out in the sticks when I have a great track at about half that distance.
But for those interested, here is a link to the forms and payment structure:

PS. Don't forget that medical exam!!

mir is a stand up place, not a hick track. i bet they have similar rules. maybe i am wrong though. when you go through the money and runs it is worth it cause you are free to do what your bike is capable of doing. i do not know if i want my duster to end up in the 9s. it will need the roll bar added to. if it is close so be it. but if i am in all the time it better be 9.70s.either way 9s costs money.
todd and i are going friday night. looks like a nice night to race. maybe come up and check it out anyway.
