almost there... bike build

uber fan.

mercedes benz HID projectors with high beam.. the solenoids you see ar ethe H beam solenoids.

installed

even made a little custom harness for it.. the ballasts are 2 piece. the inverter section and HV setion are not in the same housing. .the inverter section take the 12VDC, inverts and steps to 85VAC.. that, then goes to another step up transformer and gets jumped to 25Kv. not sure of the freq. might put my counter on there just out of curiosity now..

ready for paint.

headlight and gauge assembly. sadly, i ran out of gas on the TIG rig, so nothing here is how i want it to be.

CF dash finished

paint going on.. '71 460 in the back right.. 351W to the left.. 460 is getting bumped to 520 and will have an 8-71 feeding it. should be good for 750hp on a mild tune

little CF tag holder. nice and simple

a few more layers of paint and it's done.. well, except for the turbo motor swap.. for now, anyway.. i'm going to NEED probably 250 hp with al lthe weight i've added with this crap lol
then again, it'll be nice to see deer, geriatrics, drunks and homeless rednecks at 2am before it's too late.

Indoor motorcycle parking, a whole carton of Chick-fil-A products, at least four Mountain Dew containers in three different denominations, an oscilloscope and the Garage Barbies' retarded cousin sitting haplessly on a shelf. The only thing missing is Karl in half a tuxedo offering his peanut butter slathered genitals to a three-legged dog.

Nice job on the bike though, dude! And I'm glad you're on this board.

There's nothing evil about peanut butter - only wholesome Southern goodness there. It's those fig preserves that are evil incarnate. Are you texting my GB's, Tim???

And those GB's... Lil sluts got into the Fig chutney, caught em red handed!!!!
(can't blame em tho, that stuff is to die for, kudos to Lady L.)

lmfao wow..
i'm in tears.

wow.. just.. wow.

WHEW.. haha..

well. got it pretty much done! still waiting on a throttle tube that fedex managed to lose.

worked on a lil electrical engineering experiment. the 7 is not known for an awesome wiring harness... this, in turn, made the bulbs flicker.. very hard on the bulbs and ballasts.. at $120. a piece for bulbs, i want em to last a while!

so, uber wire and a relay came out to play.

flicker be gone.

took it for a lil spinaroo up and down the driveway using the choke for speed.. lol.. and a mt dew bottle full of gas. probably looked ghetto as hell, but it worked.

synced the carbs, burnt off that cheap ass stinkin nasty "high temp" paint off the headers.. just a bunch of little things to do now.

haha.. ya that scope is one of the best things i have.. next to AIDS..

wait..

aides!

its an old skool tektronix i got for free from an electronics teacher. can't beat free shit.. made a good bit of money off it.

and operation turblow is imminent. i just have to find a damn turbo that works!! impossibly it seems

i'm trying to be cheap and it's not working.. instead of going out and buying a new T25 or RHB31 or T3, i'm trying to score a junkyard jewel.. just.ain't.happenin.

still gotta finish the head work and call Mr. Noonan and get that lined up. not sure what race i can make. still need to fab a chainguard, still need to safety wire some stuff, and need a steering dampner.

Keep up the hard work Hendrix...it will pay off! Are you trying to make Maxton October 2009? You should run on motor, get your licensing passes out of the way and turbo this winter, come out SWINGING HARD next spring!

Here's something to shoot for....when the 7R is ready you can come out and ... umm...

Test and Tune!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDCNCJSW9PU

BTW, you don't NEED 250 RWHP for 200 mph. Its just nice to have on tap. Try to steer clear from youthful rookie mistakes like going too big too fast. You can always turn UP the boost as needed....but turning down the boost after you blow up doesn't really mean much. When you're ready, bring it on by and we can help you get it tuned. I'll put you in touch with Rick to give you some pointers and talk # and $.

i need to find the little rubber piece that goes on the end.. i love exotic shit like that..

i still owe ya big time Dane!!

thanks to all of ya for the support, the advice, the infinite wisdom (especially at loring at the bar!!)

you guys are the greatest.

Ali.. i gotta still find some shit i need to pass tech. theres alot of little things i need to do or make that i don't have the material or money for. still need a steering dampner.. need to safetywire a bunch of stuff.. need to fab a chainguard up.. gotta comb the book and find out some more.. oh.. deadman switch.. lots of little things.
i gotta see when maxton is exactly.. at least i should be able to make it down there hopefully to spectate. i got a trip to cali coming up from the 8th to the 14th or so.

i'll keep ya posted tho man! i'll give ya a call.. hell, maybe we'll go ridin now that i'm all legal!!

Karl, your little harlets are welcomed any time sir.

Jim. those lights summon moths from a state away!! i love em. they're awesome.

oh, dane.. yes theose are D2s bulbs.. priced them at $120 a piece!!

i'm getting pretty aggravated on not finding a turbo at a decent price used.. i might break down and buy a new one or at least not try to score one for like $50 or free.. lol

once i get that, i'll call John and get some slugs made up. gotta buy gas for the TIG rig. sadly, 4043 filler wire is $60 the gas is $40. theres 1 benjamin right there and i haven't even gotten started yet!! at least i have the 5086 sheet for the intake and might have scored an 09 ZX10-R exhaust, which i believe is stainless.. i'll modify and use what i need.

cuz i'm crafty

wanna still try to keep this a budget build!!
