Can you tell me what this is.....
Off a 2000 zx-12r fuel pump... wondering if whats circled is a fuel filter or part of the regulator system???

i'd assume filter. theres no lines running to it to indicate it can regulate anything. (like a vac line)
just my guess tho..

yeah thats what im assuming... on the 12r they have a fpr on the rail its self but was just making sure that kawi didnt do some weird shit lol...
I may run a external aeromotive filter after I install the walbro on this pump.

about the only way to heck i'd think is to look thru the outlet of the little can. the inlet has a bend.. no go on that.
i'd seriuosly lean on it being a filter tho. normally they're on the pump housing, but i guess they didn't care that much about contamination or abrasive material making it's way into the gerotor housing.. lol..

these pumps have a small filter on the inlet of the fuel pump, most of the other kawis just have a filter there and thats it the rest goes to the injectors but I guess they wanted more filtering to the injectors back then.....

The nylon piece on the inlet is a debris screen, and the canister on the outlet is a filter.
