Wow, under 66" wheelbase, 1.25 short time, that's impressive.
Any pictures of this beast out there?
Nice work Jim!

Mike Fields bike is real nasty as well.
I have a friend here who at 220 lbs, runs some stupid numbers on less than 1600cc.......
But, it could run on methonol, with the crazy compression it has.., its like, 16 to 1, or something stupid, ported pistons, etc.

Yep, Dave Norris on his outlaw bike, small tire no bar nitrous GS motor. 6.91, I think he went to the finals in Pro Mod (which is amazing as they are going 6.70s).

Crazy Dave nearly caught Paul Gast at the finish line in the Pro Mod final. This was on his backup 'smoker' motor.

Are you sure its a "dry" block? I heard it was a Muzzy billet block but didn't think it was "dry".

Rick,
And that head was designed for a 1507 that he was running last year. This year he went with the muzzy block and bumped it to 1580. He really needs the stage 2 port now with the big valves and a totally different valvejob to make the most top end power. Were going to change that for him after this season. Then the bike should MPH better and he may be able to get the throttle open sooner.
Also, I'm on hold with my12r project that we discussed, for now. I'm disappointed, but working on my personal stuff doesn't get the shop work done and the back log of new r&d projects is building faster than I can prototype and write code. Maybe before winter gets here.

Keep in mind Sonny is a tremendous rider and I believe he would match up against ANY rider of similar weight (exclude Teasley, Nick etc at 105 lbs)

Thanks guys. Its nice to see good solid results, I hope people do notice!
It looks like Ryan (osti33) has a first record at Bonneville for the stage 3 head. Its on a 1650 busa . go Ryan!!
Cylinder heads are all about math. Lots of math. We use computers and software to do all that modeling and computations, so that's the easy part.
The hard part is marketing and getting people to try a product from someone unknown in the big racing circles. I totally understand thou. Everyone works hard for their money and with all the Internet hype and marketing these days you don't know what to believe. Many people have heard that this slicer, slices bread better than that one etc. yada, yada, yada.
But people really want to see what happens when the rubber meets the road. And I don't blame them, I'm that way also.
Now with real world results coming in like the SCCA Trans-Am win at Watkins Glenn NY this summer. It was the only race that a Chevrolet engine won to that point in the season. Again its all about the math, Chevy, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Porsche, whatever.
We just want to make the best performing ports possible from the castings available.
A pretty simple goal.
