i am loaded up. but looking at the weather i may not go down with 60% chance of rain. i am going to order a 51 or 52t rear sprocket anyway. i am about 11,300 on the bike in 5th at the end.i need a bit more.which one would you get with 17 front shane?

What are you at now, sprocket-wise? What is your wheelbase, about 61"?

i am 4.5" over stock. 17/50 now going through around 147 to 149mph with a low 1.6 60ft to high 1.5 60. shifting around the 1000ft mark.
stuart it sounds like you need more gear also.

Wait for Crotchrocket to come along with some advice. His w/b is close to yours. 17-51/52 seems like a whole lot of gear for such a short bike. Maybe I am just spoiled by the 14's torque.

16/50 here....lol
I actually ran 16/52 at 64 inches........with no bars......, WOW, that was fun......NOT.
16/48 is nice too....., but it gets into the swingarm guide......, unless you run a moly arm.
