wet nitrous problem
Maybe someone here has experienced this...I'm running a wet 50 shot on an 01 ZX12. On the stand the system operates normally. Take the bike down the track and the nitrous side will not turn on. The bike falls on its face from fuel only coming on. I've replaced the fuel pressure safety switch and adjusted it with headroom after my test light comes on. The fuel pump is the small NOS one. Any ideas?...thinking the pull of the bike has got to have something to do with it.

make sure you are not creating a short when you sit on the bike.

bottle is mounted vertcally (upright) with a siphon tube thats bent towards the back of the bottle. No controller - WOT switch with horn button. Both solenoids work on the stand. Nitrous filter is being used...should be clean if it's passing nitrous on the stand I would think. I'll have to give the wiring a good look, but it would be a long shot.

I would remove the safety switch and try it.

Check the bikes charging system. You should have at least 14 volts when the engine is revved up. If it is low, the nitrous solenoid will have trouble opening when pressurized.

that's something I hadn't thought of...I'll check that. Seems weird though that it works fine on the stand you know?

I run it in the green on the gauge. I use a bottle heater. Even when it's below optimal pressure the system works well when the bike is sitting still.
