Tranny clunk

Ever since I purchased my 01zx12 the transmission has been very clunky & kind of hard to get into other gears under very heavy loads. I thought I would continue riding & see what it was like after breakin. Still clunky. My friend told me about an oil that he is now using. He let me ride his bike & I could not believe how smooth his was. The oil is Silkolene Pro 4 Plus 10w50 100% sinthetic & it works. I changed my oil today & instantly felt a difference. It is exspensive $11.00 a quart.

The question is was the reduced noise is attributed to the brand or the 10w50 weight?

The synthetic oil quiets down the clunking, but thats the way Kawasais are!!!

Went riding today with some buddies, couldnt beleive how smooth & easy to shift my bike was. That oil really made the differance. I shure am surprized that the Silkolene would make that much differance. Hell I think the bike made more power. As soon as I can get back to Schnitz & have Ryan make another pull, I will let you know if it helped on HP. It was about 48 degrees out today. Put about 150 miles on the green machine & had a blast.
