Mad Mike's "delay" on the way to the shoot out
1. MM will probably be very tired tomorrow morning.
2. MM needs to learn how to estimate distances beyond a 1/4 mile.
3. It's not my fault.
4. His trailer will look better then it ever did.
Why? Glad you asked.
MM took a "side trip" to Little Rock, AR on his way from Iowa to Houston, so he could get some custom made INTERSTATE BATTERY RACING logos put on the side of his trailer. The boy needs to learn how to measure distances UNDER a 1/4 mile as well. The decals could have been a lot bigger.
Anyway, he arrived at my office (after getting two new tires for his trailer) at around 4:30 this afternoon. After applying the IB decals, a few decals that he brought with him and talking to all the folks who came to see him... it was about 8 pm.
There was only one little problem. It's still another FOUR HUNDRED PLUS MILES to the track. Being the road warrior that he is, I'm sure he'll make it safely (I sure as hell hope so) and probably in record time. If he's lucky, he should get there at somewhere around 3 or 4 AM tomorrow morning!
Those of you down there already or will be there in the morning, please check to see if he made it and post us as soon as practically possible. I just want to be sure that he makes it all right, since he had already been on the road for who knows how many hours before he even got to my shop.

Well I freaking made it and you know what, It was raining and I decided to run up to Waco and pick up a friend of mine that is living there now and he dosent have a trailer . so me being the nice guy that I am I start out for Waco (3hour tour "each way") and goin along on I10 minding my own business and out of no where there is an accident in front of me and I slow down and throw on my hazard's so everyone behind me can tell there is something wrong!!!! and what happens Jeff Gordons Brother decides not to slow down but to make a lane change and ut oh... no lane to change into . Wham right into the back of a purty new Interstate Logo'ed Trailer,. Well this fucker hit me so hard he smashed in the back of my 12 foot trailer, now it is 9 1/2 foot. and he also hit me so hard that my trailer hitch pop'ed off and smashed in the back of The Interstate Van oh about 2 feet..... and to top it off , that Muther Fu*&$# made me spill my Popeye's Mashed Potatos and gravy!!! Well amber was OK and I am OK, but I opened up my trailer to check on "Jenny" and she needless to say was up agenst the front of my trailer and tool box. It ripped out three of the four floor tie downs, and bent the shit out of my pingle chock and smashed the left wing and cracked my left fairing , oh and my nice Muzzy Sidewinder, is smashed from my generator flying into it. and my rear fender is poped out and the PCIII is in 2 pieces now. but other then all of that, We are OK.. thank god! man I will tell you one thing that Insurance guy is going to shit when he see's this bill... oh at least 3k for the trailer, about 15hundrend for the van, bike is 2-3k, so all and all this guy is in for about 6-8grand depending on what the Insurance says...... so we will pull it out of the side door tommorw, and see exactly what is wrong with her.. Kawachan (Charles) took pictures of it so I am sure he will post them....

HOLY SHIT MIKE!!! No Fuckin' Way!!!
That is UN-f*ckingBelievable!!!
Man, I feel soo bad for you......and the bike,........and the sidewinder,.........and those dog-gone Popeye's Taters you were enjoying!
What a heartbreaker man. You have really had a tough, tough year.
I really hope that guy has a good insurance company. Just remember to get stuff fixed where *YOU* want to, not where they suggest you to....it's your right by law.
"Only" $1500 for the van?? It all sounds closer to 8K than 6k!
Let me know if there's any way I can help ya out. I'll keep my eyes open for parts for the bike anyway. I've got some numbers of people with parts if you want them.
Glad to hear you are ok man.......

Mad Mike! Now you know why I do not use a Trailer! A friend of mine had his bike fall of and did not know it for a few hundred miles! Police will give you a ticket sooner with a trailer! you can move the truck or van out of the way better in an emergency! I am saying this because with the "New" money, you may want to consider getting a van like the "Z" Man!
Now! No good deed goes unpunished! Man "0" Man!! I really Hate it for you! Worse part is "Money" Never covers time and the Love put into your bike! My Statement is that if you could Truly!!!! Get a Jury of your peers, they would not convit you dor killing him!

Never fear homie! I am on the way. Will be there tomorrow morning early. Had to change the clutch setup some, hopefully it works. Can't test ride, freakin rain. I was going to setup near Bitter Sweet's camp but I bet now its crowded there. I usually camp with the TFAs but since none of them are racing, I guess I will be setup by myself. I will catch up with you guys though!

HOLY FUCKIN' SHIT! I'm glad to hear you and Amber are okay.
If as much as one screw has even come loose where the decals are... your gonna need ALL NEW decals at the bargain price of... oh... let's say $800 (just for the IB logos and that "expert" installation) and you have a receipt to prove it (or you will have). Hell, to redo the whole trailer is a good $1500+. Reflective ain't cheap, ya know.
Oh... and all that "custom" body work, hand made pipe... this is 15 LARGE if it's a dime!

I bet it will be crazy!!! The insurance company said I can cut the door off so I can get my bike out and start working on her! so that is good, looks like thursday night that is what I will be doing!

No way man if I would have had a van and my bike was in the back like that it would have been devastating... I could not even imagine what would have happened if that guy would have hit me without the trailer! that trailer kept me from recieving serious injury, I do believe that one! I'm going to take the $$ and get a larger trailer next season! definatly...

Mike,
Tooooo goddam BAD you got hit , WORSE you couldn't race, but the WORST LOSS has to be the Popeye's mashed potatoes and Cajun gravy which ended up all over the van's interior instead of your's.
On the bright side neither you nor Amber was hurt, eh? Although my daughter is pissed that she didn't get to play with Amber, the Entropy family can now brag "MadMike slept here"!!! I'm glad you made it back without the hitch self destructing.

Good to meet you in LR and I heard about your accident after I got back from the track at Hallett, OK.
Man, I hate that. I hope you can get your bike back to where it was (or a new one, that you can soup up).
On a selfish note, at least I got to lay eyes on the beauty before the accident. On another note, had that happened in Little Rock you know your LR crew would have helped you out!
