I thought Winston was getting out of drag racing??? Or was that a brain fart???

I heared wiston is pulling out off racing due too the tabacco lawsuits about smoking advertising!! Not 4 sure but that's what I heard.

Tobacco companies can only sponsor one national sport effective 2002. Between NASCAR & NHRA, the choice took less than 7.20 sec to make. I think there is a good sized corporation waiting in the wings to take over though. I never liked the strong association of drag racing and Winston anyway. But I am an ex-Marlboro man, so maybe I'm biased 
Angelle will have no trouble finding another sponsor I bet-She's fast AND not bad on the eyes- ka-ching baby.

Speculation is that it's going to be Coca-Cola or one of their brands. Supposedly, they will also pick up the two teams the Winston sponsored too. (Angelle and Alan Johnson) This is, at this time, still a rumor though. The Banquets over, I'd think Uncle Wally would be making the big announcement shortly.
