He put a head gasket and loosen the engine up. And that is all I was told. And that 187.19
was with a BMC Race Filter in it.

what altitude? this is all on a zx12r sitting in salt lake city. stilll could easily gain another 10hp just driving it down to sea level. i know we can sit here and toss around dyno number all day, but it terms of performance, it was out trapping all the other bikes out at the track friday night, and had the quick et, so i'm satisfied with it. still needs the suspension set up and a decent drag seat slapped on. headshakes suck.

Good to here.

Ditch the 17/46 and go 16/44.

the only decent pass was 10.1 @139. not the cleanest pass and bad shifting, but it was my first time racing the bike since september last year so it was more of a shakedown run. after that it cooled down and kept lifting and shaking on the 1-2 shift. on one pass i had to lift twice in second gear and still ran at 137mph. like i was saying, i need to get the thing dialed in. i'm hoping for 145mph in good air with some more seat time.

les, i assume yr 186 was corrected, yes?

if so, then a dynojet pull at sea level would give the more or less same 186 at sea level

BTW: what was the correction factor when you got 186; i'm guessing it was pretty substantial at yr altitude???

not sure on the correction. it can't be too much. that same dyno puts a stock 12r at aout 150 hp, along with tuned and piped 1000's. one guy up here had a really strong running gsxr that made 160hp. comparing it to other local bikes, its got to be one of strongest stock internal motors putting around up here. i talk to the dyno guy next time i see him about it.
