Any 08 GSXR1k build info out there?
Gonna do the 1078 kit on a friends bike and was curious if this engine responded to cams like the busa does. Basically, if they're worth the time and money. I really haven't come up with any good info on any other sites either. If you know of a good one, let me know. Thanks

The last time I spoke with Jim at Competition CNC, he had some well-formed opinions on what kind of cams that motor needs to perform. All I know is we're going through rear brake pads like crazy now, just to keep the front end down so the bike can steer out of corners, thanks to the magic Jim performed on our roadrace K5 head.

Ken, yea they do. What is he going to use the engine for? We have a few different ports for the different generations of GSXR1k's. Best to call me and we can discuss. We have been doing quite a few of these heads lately. Catching up to the number of busa heads we do. The GSXR1k is getting quite popular for drag racing.
The roadrace ports on Tims roadrace bike are a very special animal. Very complex and completely reshaped with epoxy from the stock ports. But the ports are not filled in and made smaller at the MCSA unlike other "epoxy" ports you here about. These are all about mixture motion into the chamber and ultra high tumble in the chamber.
We did a special experimental dragrace head for a 4x6 gsxr1k customer (who, I can not discuss) to do some track testing with and the bike is insane. He couldn't believe that just a head swap could yield the MPH he is getting.
So there are some options....
