Too cool Jim! Big motor ZX-12? What's the inside scoop!!!!!!!!!

Gary, its a1427cc pump gas "street motor" with a Competition CNC "special" ported head, 28mm buckets, .450"/.415" cams 13.6 CR, reworked chambers, reworked manifolds and throttle bodies, BMC air filters, Bosch "purple" injectors, re-flashed ECU, power commander, Sims Motor Sport 24v starting/charging system, Yoshimura Duplex Race pipe (wrapped), LM-1 data logger.

That about sums it up. No secrets here.

KZScott, just sneak into the trunk or something, border can't be too hard from CA to USA! Have a passport buddy of yours sneak you in!

Schultz...I'll dig around and see if I have a map...you are running a muzzys pump, right? How much dry shot? If we can work it out logistically we can rotate my LM1 if yours don't work. I'm putting a new battery in my bike (mine was old and always low voltage, seemed to cause problems with my LM1 sometimes saying low voltage, etc.) Working on mounting the LM1 in the ashtray area because I can see it.

In another post,I'ld like to hear what your impressions are about the " Sims Motor Sport 24v starting/charging system" and whether it was worth the money.

Very, Very Nice Jim!

Quite a Large ZX-12 Showing, wish I could bring mine as well.

Sorry to hear you can not make it TexanZone.

Bike Still on bench, but progress has been made. Just need some block off plates for the oil lines, AN fitting for the tank and it should be ready to fire up. Then the hard part starts getting things ready to pass tech and a tune. Still waiting on a cheapy two stage boost controller. Should be ready the weekend before we leave...............................or the night before we leave. LOL

waiting on a boost controller? i thought one came w/yr kit??????

I am waiting on Andy to get his dyno AC completed before i tune for Loring.
The unit is in, now they gotta hook up stuff.
How cold will it get the air? who knows?

Air at Loring will be 70-75F, no sense tuning at 100F+

No, I thought it had a boost controller, but it just came with an 8# spring. It only came with an older microtech injector driver (fingers crossed that it still works). No worries, I should have the boost controller late this coming week. Maybe run 10# and then 16# on a button for the second stage.....................but worst case boost scenario will be to just run the 8#'er.

That AC will sure be nice at Andy's.

Rich, too damn bad about work

Roy, if the bike isn't ready what about yr 199mph Camaro???

Too far for me to want to run with the RV and trailer.

I got the bike started , and it seems ok. Looks like i will have the stock motor ready to go. Just need to do some tuning.

Well almost stock

+5mm stroker, +2mm bore , 46mm throttle bodies ..., but it does have a stock head and cams :-)

Karl,
Let me know if there's even the slightest hint of truth to the spandex comment and I'll make sure they don't make it out of Virginia! We gotta deal with Slim's attire in Maxton and Bonneville as it is... I'd like to see Loring start off as truly sacred ground the first season.

Todd,
If you don't have your logger fixed and it's an LM1 with an internal power issue let me know, theres a couple fixes that are very easy and longer lasting then the original setup.

Scott, if you put a screw in the cover over your reapir it'll have less chance of breaking again (best to do on any unit that doesn't have it on both sides).

Larry, great to hear and I can't wait to see what Steve and Mark lay down up there. If anyone can hit that number on Maine's oxygen it's going to be you and the angels.

hot glue or a dieelectric epoxy (like the potting they use in ECUs/ CDIs) should work well..

crafty fix tho.
