Well, Karl, it's really a matter of finances and logistics (isn't it always?). For us, the trip amounts to $1500+ and a week of vacation. We're going to do our best, and our current plan is to attend.

I'm planning on it, either with the current stock head, or with Ryan's epoxy head. If he finishes in time, it will be a wacky week before Loring getting it dialed in.
I am seriously looking forward to it - 1.5 miles of smooth surface, lots of smooth shutdown...hope I don't get too spoiled for Maxton

yep i understand the time off and financial requirements, but it is just too cool to miss.
Get another couple Visa cards, that's what I did.
And ayway, i am expecting my Stimulous Package any day.

Bike is still on the Bench, but the motor is spooned in. It will still be a Busa but with a little turbo on it. Yep, work has been slow lately for me so my finances are very tight as well..........................................but it's way too hard to say no to 1.5 Miles! It's down to the wire as usual.

Entropy, I'm really leaning on going, I'm just so broke. Ordered up a clutch cover gasket and some stiffer springs, should be able to go through my steels and fibers and "make" a good one with what I have and my stock spares.
Being so broke....Hendrix, if you're really interested in going, its about 25 mpg towing my zx12 at 10 over the speed limit...split the gas with me and your portion round trip comes out to just under $100.....I'd be happy to roll up there with you but I kinda need to know for sure if you're in if I'm budgeting it all out! Figure we can camp out or try and find a cheap hotel/motel if one opens up.

if the new motor runs and test ok at the dragstrip , I am planning on being there. I put the motor in the bike tonight so I should know something in a couple of days.
But you know I am a rookie at the engine building stuff.... so who knows :-(

I work with a native of upstate Maine in that area.He said to watch out for the 50mph and then drop to 25 in town.He says they like to augment their budgets and dislike out of staters.Just a heads up.

TrnBrn....I think I'll leave Blu at home with my dad....he's a soldier but splitting a hotel, transport to and from, etc ends up taking much of my time and more importantly concentration. Left him at home in the June heat too as Maxton would have had him hot all day and me wondering if he had enough water/shade etc ... you know how sometimes you get stuck in the staging lanes for a while...especially when it gets oiled down. Filling bottles, checking pressure, logging, swapping gearing, adding fuel, etc is enough as it is!
