Thanks Shane 661

The world of top speed racing is relatively small and made up of dedicated racers, all of whom help each other. My team shucked the teeth on the countershaft sprocket and spit the chain (at 225 MPH) at Maxton today. Shane was nice enough to loan us his spare so the team could continue racing. (They set two records today). Kindnesses like this restore my faith in humanity. Thanks Shane, we will replace your chain at Loring, Me. in August.

Larry,
Thanks for taking the time to give props to Shane, he is a great guy and a help to all, loaning us some parts to try also over the years. Him and his wife are really good folks.

You and your team are very highy respected in the LSR world and it's always great to hear about our fellow racers helping each other out.

Dan

Update: Shane's chain went 238.2 MPH Today. Naked bike no fairing. Karl, I am an old fart who stays home. (Burned out after driving to Bonneville 32 times from the East Coast). Steve and Mark will be at Loring with the N/A bikes. Shane told them he would also attend. Looks to be a good turnout for the first of hopefully many meets. LSL

Its the true spirit as Steve was cool enough to loan me an allen key and phillips in staging...desperately needed as I didn't anticipate sitting in staging that long with the heat and nitrous bottles crying for a purge....thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Right now it looks like Friday...everything is kind of tentative at the moment. I need to sit down and make a plan this week.
