I was wondering if any1 had any experience with these bikes. I bought a sweet lil stock 89 zx10. Wondering what other bike exhausts will interchange? I was thinking zx11,some zrx? Just thought id ask b4 trying to find 1. If any1 has anything that will fit let me know. i dont care about brand either. Just need some noise.

Thed ZX11 Pipe will fit, pretty sure of that I had a 90 it was a great bike, big but lotta top end.Had a Vance n Hines pipe that actually made the bike slower waited 8 months for a Muzzy and it was a different bike w/the Muzzy pipe.Enjoy that bike.

I'm pretty sure the oil sump is in a different spot on the zx11 and zrxs. I've got a header for bike like yours and it won't fit my zrx because of the pan. It fits the head. It's possible a zrx or zx11 may fit yours though but I doubt it. I bought the thing real cheap on ebay thinking I could use it on mine so I'd let it go cheap but it's ugly, steel, and the D&D is very ratty looking although any 2" can would work.

Nothing else fits. As Krexxen points out, the sump is different. All the pipes o the market with the exception of the Muzzy exit on the left and, because of this have a big dogleg bend in the tail pipe which hurts the power. The Muzzy is properly designed without the bend and exits in the right. People used to complain because that was "wrong", not understanding that it was designed for power, not conventional looks. BTW, I set the 1000cc production record at Bonneville on an '88 ZX-10 at 170.007 with a Muzzy. Also Dale Walker set the stock NHRA national record that year riding my same ZX-10. Keep beating the bushes for a Muzzy pipe for it.
Mine was the black and red, and was I think one of the best looking Kawasaki's of all time.

Yeah....LOVED my 89'

1040 kit, 39 FCR's and a HINDLE 4-2-1. 144 h.p.

Wish I had the Muzzy w/ right exit!

Mine was 525 full of gas with stock wheels. Much narrower than the 'ol ZX11

My bad on that info, thanks Doug for clearing that up.I forgot the 11 had the pipe exit on the other side,If you can find a Muzzy for that zx10 its worth the effort,I had a V & H pipe on my 90 zx10 and it was a different bike w/the Muzzy on it.Much better mid range compared to the VH pipe. The Muzzy was a 4-2-1 for the zx10 I think ,it sounded very different compared to the other pipes.I waited a long time to get that pipe but it was worth the wait.

I had an 89 ZX10 and had a Muzzy on it first., It made decent power but I had a chance to try a D&D pipe later and it made more power. Also ran gquicker times at the track. The Muzzy and D&D are both 4-2-1. The Muzzy pipe brought cylinders 1 & 2 around the back of the sump to meet 3&4 which made them unequal length. I assumed this is why the D&D ran better on my bike.

Blueshark you are right,If memory serves me right the Hindle pipe was the one that had the head pipes that were painstakingly made to be as close in length as posible,no internet back then so I tried the VH then switched to the Muzzy...I did love that bike though
