Dumb nitrous questions
I read in my friends instructions for his nitrous kit that the siphon tube in the bottle needs to be facing down. Do they bother to mark the bottles when they are assembled to let you know where the siphon tube is at? Can the bottle be mounted in any position? How many hp is the biggest supplied jet in a dry kit supposedly good for? How many seconds will a 1lb bottle last? What happens when you hit the rev limiter while on the juice? Is the rpm cutout switch worth it? Thanks. My friend needs some help.

siphon tube is angled down along the line of the A/N fitting on the bottle itself.
meaning if you held the bottle with the fitting pointing to your left..the siphon tube would go straight down...then angle to the left at the very bottom of the bottle.
Bottle "should" be mounted around 45degrees facing forward..or straight up and down. You can mount it backwards...and its supposed to be nose down at that point wth the siphon tube removed.
Dunno the size of the jet...all are different. The NOS 34 jet makes around 50hp NX and compucar all use different numbering.
a 1lb bottle should last at least 3 or 4 full passes before the pressure starts dropping off to the point of it being way down on power vs full.
dont hit the limiter on the spray ...you are askin for trouble.

How long do you spray on the dryshot? I have only hit mine a couple of times on the street. About 5 seconds worth each time. Curious what you guys are doing.

34 jet should make about 35-40 hp at 900 psi if it is a NOS jet can't say on the NX stuff but should be the same as the numbers are in thousand's of an inch. .038 jets reqire -6 degrees of timing and the fuel has to be at 11.2-11.4:1 air/fuel on the juice this is using pump gas.

I would consider using race gas,or going to a colder plug, but 6 degrees retard would be way to much for me.Doug Meyer had an interesting suggestion, why don't I use a PC3R and retard timimg at high rpm(when the juice hits)and keep it where it makes hp before the juice is on.Good idea, instead of the bike running like shit(losing 10 hp from too much retard),shit, anyone got a pc for sale??Otherwise,I'm 4 dgrees retard, resistor, twin 38's,race gas-should be safe right??

Intra yes you are good with that set up, actually I took out 6 degrees and my 60 ft got better and my mph picked up by 2 it was easier to launch and came on stronger later perfect for drag racing I'm back to the dyno in the morn I'll let you know what happens. I found pump gas was the best tried c-16 and every other combination going to try some more stuff at the dyno.
Bergie you comin to Gainesville I think someone had a place for you to stay.

Schnitz is selling a pretty trick timing retard for the zx12 now. It's nitrous activated and would really be trick for those days you want to run in different classes with and without the juice. It's $270 though. Thanks for the advice. My "friend" appreciates it.

YCIS they do have them for the 12. I saw them at MIR at the last event, they are expensive. They aren't listed on the website but I am 100% positive they sell them because I saw them in person. Ryan has one on his 12R. Call Schnitz and ask Amy or one of the girls they will help you get one.
