Now it looks like we in the UK will be running a mile marker as well as a full course of whatever length I will try and post up the results after our first UK meeting at Woodbridge 9th/10th May so we can keep track of the fastest milers.

Ken12r - have you seen the "Standing Mile" list? It includes all known 200mph+ runs at Woodbridge and Elvington, as well as Texas and Maxton, compiled and maintained by Tom Gates;

I have seen the excellent list you refer to,I think Geri one of the moderators from the 200 site posted it on there last year and an impressive list it is but,its not complete because not many of last years results have been added yet which should show some more UK speeds.
We will try and put an up to date listing up before the end of May for everybodys information.
Trouble is that Landspeed racing seems to be getting less and less popular each meeting for lots of reasons and we are in danger of losing our meetings alltogether because of lack of interest over here,struggling to get 30 entries for May at the moment even after bringing in more smaller capacity classes from 600cc upwards.
We may have to consider putting all the bikes in a container and shipping them over to play with you lot in the future,I am sure we would be welcome as all the landspeed guys and girls seem to get on well together.

Ouch, only 30 people, that hurts.
It would be great though, to have you all crate it up and pop over here!

Absolutely Ken, bring them over, that would be a blast. Maybe we could stir up some magazine interest in an "International Speed Competition", and solicit sponsor prizes and such.
I've guessed that there are many UK mile passes that haven't made it to the 'list' - are logs available online, or though the sanction?

Who knows, maybe we'll have a change of heart.
Here's an idea, why don't a few of you TX guys come down to South Florida for a little R&R and perhaps a little 9/10th mile drag racing?
Lots of talented riders and fast bikes to run down here. It's like the wild west... no classes, no tech, no excuses....... what more could a Texan ask for?
