Texas Shootout - 2 events in one weekend!!!!
Hey, all you folks who don't mind a bit of a drive.
The Texas Shootout 2002 finale will be on Oct 19 AND 20; two separate races, with the one on the 19th being a makeup for a rainout in early Sept. End of series BBQ, fun and games.
Generally we have 60-70 S/ET bikes, 30-ish P/ET entries, as well as the other classes.
SO, COME ON DOWN BOYZ & GIRLZ!!! The weather should be perfect, low humidity, and Houston Raceway is a big MPH track with 1st class NHRA National facilities.
It doesn'y pay much, but what the hell, tracks will be closing up north and we'll have a ball.

SATURDAY OCT 19TH:
SEPTEMBER 7TH RAINOUT EVENT
Gates open 9:00am
Two rounds of qualifying for all classes starting at 11:00am(SBS,T/G,S/C,S/G,P/ET,S/ET)
PLUS!!
60' Streetbike class (Saturday only)
ELIMINATIONS 1:00pm
Racers appreciation dinner
SUNDAY OCTOBER 20TH
Gates open 8:00am
One round of qualifying for all classes starting at 10:00am(SBS,T/G,S/C,S/G,P/ET,S/ET)
New entries are welcome on Sunday

I WILL beat ANY 12 that highland's brings out,unless the rumour about thier two turbo 12's is true,otherwise,the ZRX,and ZX-11 turbo is all I have to worry about from them.But I'm sure someone will bring out some doped up old water pumper and win the whole thing-but if I beat Peck,that's all I care about-Carl,you now how shitty he is on the tree,if I leave first(clean),he'll choke,like always.See you guys down there!!

I have my extensions but I think I will wait until next seaon to install them so I can run in the 60" WB class on Saturday. We will see....

I think my motor is going under the knife again and I will prob need the clutch tool. Are you gonna be at the Shootout both days?

I should be there guys barring any acts of god! flying solo this go around! should be a fun trip! see you guys there. i will be in the night before hopefully, have to make a little stop in Little Rock on the way down. hope it is a good time.

Hey Mike,
GREAT that you are coming down to Texas; the weather is looking better & better! You'll have a good time, its guaranteed.
You can stay at my house if you'd like (if you don't care you you're seen with  ), only problem is its an hour from the track.  Anyway, the offer is open.

like my 12th email for the year. LOL.... thanks for the offer, Im not sure what all is going to take place, but i will have the van with all the fixings so I will probably just crash in it, do they have showers at the track? cool talk with ya soon.

I don't know if HRP has showers, never seen any, but never looked for 'em.
keep yr eye on the weather forecast; first they say beautiful, then they say sux. Depends on the jet stream?????
