Hyper Plates
I just got back from the dragstrip test n tune to try out these Hyper Aluminum Plates....I kept my lockup setup exactly the same as I had before....1`st pass plates stuck like glue off the hit,Not at all what I want....2nd pass , the same, I thought excess oil was on the plates still...
Went back and took all my static spring shims off my springs,no change.(bogged and frontend tried to lift)These plates are just plain stickey as all hell...Could `nt get ANY slip at all by throwing the lever out....Last pass I did the old fashion way and let the clutch out slowly off the line,1.47 60` @9.49 144 mph....But this is not the way I want the clutch/lockup to do....
They are coming out, and getting a complete set of new factory stuff....Oh well , ya never know if ya don`t try....They damn sure ARE light as hell over 1/2 the weight of factory 2.0 steels...Maybe good for someone looking for some more RPM`s on a topend run in the mile or something, no good for slipping the clutch though....JMO....

Ya , I couldn`t resist trying them since the price I got them for was worth it...But they are SOOO smooth to look at them i just was sure they were going to be kick ass....No dimples or notches just plain smooth and shiney,I don`t get it.....Too grabby...

You guys are making a big mistake using them!!! I broke them into about a billing pcs, JUNK JUNK JUNK... I ruined a clutch in 3 passes...

I searched but didn`t find any info. about anyone useing them here for what I`m doing with a lockup,So I figured I`d see wasssup...$30.00 for the set, 2.0`s for a Muzzy lockup...$145.00 from Hyper Plates, bought them off a guy selling them here....Never used them....I know now Mike,As soon as I get a new set of stockers they`re outta there....
