That's just the weight. Usually about a tenth every 30lbs on a big bike. If you are tall it can effect launches as well because your center of gravity is that much higher.

So how come Brock's doesn't offer Lipo-Suction. That sounds like the one thing that might help me the most. LOL

The wife got me a gym membership and has been trying to get me to go play raquet ball with her. I guess I could get into it if I thought it would help my 1/4 mile times.

Drag Racing

1) Get the gear. It has a purpose ( I have doubled as a test pilot )
2) Take it easy and feel the bike. Do not rev the bike to hell and dump the clutch.
3) Have fun.

Do not stress about hitting the perfect light, slow 60ft's, etc.
Line up (heart will be pumping), when the lights drop leave the first time from idle.
Feel the acceleration and where you end in the power band and need to shift.
Then start to focus on leaving a little harder the next time.

Best of luck.

I've decided I'll probably spend most of my money on safety gear this summer. I need a new helmet and either some leather pants to go with my Tour Master Jacket or a new set of leathers, and a kill switch and metal chain gaurd. After a few test & tunes I'll probably go with a Alien Head and a power commander.

I'll take it slow and see what happens.
