I dont think its in the theory of suspension 101 course he read about. Pats bike hardly squats at all and runs in the 8s.

Flite, you really are an idiot....as you have just proven (again).

I'll tell you what...I'll race you, Mr. High Dollar Street Racer, at the dragstrip...then we can see who is fast and who is last.

So, either put up or shut up. How about that, hero?

Flite, just admit it, you dont have a clue of how much suspension travel is required on a 64 in wb 14. if you did, you would have given Shane a measurement. for example: 4 inches of travel, so make sure you have 5 between the tire and undertail
something in that sort of format

Exactly, Ares. This guy is a joke. What is he going to tell us next...that he killed Jimmy Hoffa...or was best friends with Elvis? Maybe he was on the grassy knoll when JFK was shot?

Or perhaps he is Bigfoot. That would go perfectly with his mythical racing exploits.

Actually, there is more proof of Bigfoot than his racing claims.

Which is it, Flite, or shall we call you "Sasquatch"?

hahaha Shane vs the sasquatch. something tells me Flite wont show up. he wouldnt have a bike that could compete with you anyway. last I checked a moped wouldnt run low 9s, no matter how well the suspension was set up, or what the humidity is

Shane, I weight 220 suited and at 64inches my 14 sits above the tire 3 inches with me on it. A 1.48 60 ft uses about all of it but does not touch unless I get the front wheel over 1.5 ft off the deck and it lightly rubs the factory undertray. With 20-24 tire psi and factory shock with preload set full stiff, compression med. and not quite full hard rebound. It does not spin the Shinko anywhere in the 1/4.

Thats some good information, I appreciate it. I think I am set up too loose on the preload. I have been hitting the fender with 4" of clearance. My best 60 ft. is 1.49 on my setup, but as it sits I wouldn't be able to go any lower.

Thanks again.

thats the thing, get somewhere in the ballpark, and tune it for what works best for YOU>

Unless you find someone with your exact set up, but, clutch application will affect squat as well.

good luck with it.......

Scott, bought if as a complete assmbly off someone here...Johnycheese I think...But it is GRAY and alot thicher diam. spring than stock....At stock height the bikes rearend won`t budge if you sit on it....Took alot to get it right but I have more adjustability now, for what I have.....2 or 3 turns on the pre load collar is a big difference....

Shane,
I always knew the 14 is sprung way too soft, so I looked up what race tech suggested for my weight.
I then measured the stock swingarm at 24" long.
With a 6 inch stretch that put me at +25% leverage, and picked the spring closest to 25% over what racetech recomends... I will have to see how well it works this summer...

I know you understand all this, in summary I picked an appropriate spring for my weight and then considered the extra leverage applied with my longer arm.

I did not consider the actual travel yet, but I am pretty sure I will be plenty stiff if I decide to use the adams straight link with the stiffer shock.

Otherwise I have been told not to allow the swingarm to go into negative angle as our friend described.

AS it turns out the GSXR frt end has pulled the wheel back 1 inch, and now a 10 " arm is my limit allowed by the CMDRA rules for turbo bikes... so my new macintosh 8" is not quite ideal... ARGGGG
