Congrats to Karl and Doug on a job well done. It isn't easy going 200+ mph, especially with a hasty rebuild and minimal sleep. Glad you guys both got a chance to make some passes.
MadMike....glad to see you squeaked it out too...you were very close last time I was there...glad it panned out!
Congrats to Todd and Debbie, just got off the phone with them yesterday, Debbie went 209.xx mph on her nitrous Busa, Todd did a little less on a stability pass on the Turbo Busa.
I've heard a lot about the massive tailwinds but as some have stated some of that turned into a crosswind down the track so it wasn't all 100% tailwind assisted speeds. We've had damn near 30 mph crosswinds at Maxton...best believe I just wrung out 5th while leaned over at the traps....6th....???? FUGG THAT!

Hey Ali!!
Those tailwinds were great, but as you heard, they were not always consistent.
i crossed the line on a pass with no sidewind issues, then immediately got blown to the right and was within 10' or so of the grass before i knew it. YIKES!!!!

Yep, the gods of speed smiled on Karl and Doug after a Motor sacrifice.............but wanted to keep Karl in check after the finish line so he would remember who was in Charge!!!!!!!!! lol

Don't forget we'll need some pics and a certificate from your lovely wife. I don't think Johnny has a mail box at the shop, so you may talk to him before you send them.

I gave Johnny a cerificate at the mile and frame money also have emailed a great pic but not sure he got it .Still looking for another fot the wall of speed.As for my placeing in the shootout I should have #1 or 2 and ahead of Mr. Bob but the gods of speed was out to lunch or some such thing so I was last.But I was working at more ,well there always next time.lol
