you're amazing. truely, you are.
i copmmend you on your resilience and hard-headedness.

it's unfathomable.

"hardly" meaning the opposite i hope?
dude.. every single person here has asked for SOME kind of substantial and solid evidence of your claimed knowledge.

you duck that shit like a boxer dodging a right hook.

"yikky" as you stupidly put "Y2K" has more than proven his worth not only to the site, but in real life in running a first-class business and being a name synonymous with performance.

i've done my research

you try to chop down Scott with your "you fucked it up" bullshit when clearly, time and time again, he's taken the time out of his busy day to explain to you what happened and why.

it does not sink in. i've seen FACTORY motors bend valves. would you like pics of the bent valves? motors that were NEVER opened up until i got my greasy little hands on them to assess the damage. so, are you gonna say that the factory fucked their clearances up and build spaggetti motors? just because a motor bends a valve or whatever, doesn't mean the builder is at fault. you ever hear of valve float?

it's good to know shane lives in Va. i could only hope he's near winchester, which is the next town over from me. i'd love to meet him and kick ideas around with a knowledgeable builder.

whats that INDISPUTABLE proof you have there flite? other people's pics you stole from photobucket?

its funny you mention having money.. i've never know metally handicapped people to have a substantial income. then again, i've always said "hire the handicapped. they're fun to watch!"

maybe you're comic relief for a high-profile celebrity? OH!! i bet its a REAL engine builder.. you're just regurgitating the stuff you hear over his phone calls, eh?

the shut down.. the shut down..

the shutdown comes when you're being proven wrong time and time again by people who i would bet everything i own on knowing their shit.

the shutdown comess with being asked like 150,000 times now by everyone here what the hell you've built that builds your confidence up to the level of "God"... Yet, you provide not ONE picture, one customer testimonial, not one non-ramble and comprehensive story that can be proven with a little.

i know enough to be dangerous. i have built many a motor. do i know as much as Jim or Scott or the other guys here? shit.. what i know would fit in their back pocket i'm sure.. BUT, never one time have i built a motor, race or otherwise, that has ever failed, so even with my limited knowledge, i MUST be doing SOMETHING right. i have customers that i could get on here to argue points. i have pics, i have custom-made tools to do certain jobs..

my tools show my knowledge. my pics and reputation in this area as a mechanic and builder show my knowledge.

like the one cat said.. the prrofs in the pudding.

wheres your pudding? hahhaha

How would one come to have rodent feces on one's fingers from being a punk?

quote:
a- that degree would be the same for every cam.....................................answer is NO !! ! ! !

b- the degree would be the same at any valve clearance.......................NO! ! ! !!

c- that degree would be the same if the head is shaved........................HELL NO! ! ! ! !
[& the last three bikes iv read about all 3 had the heads skimmed]

d- that degree would be the same for ALL Aftermarket pisto set ups............F^#K NO

And just to be clear, the closest PTV point in terms of crank degrees for a given motor with the cam timing held constant is the same regardless of the valve lash setting, deck height or piston crown topology. Even if you change the PTV by adjusting the cam timing, the critical PTV point will not move very much. I'm sure you experienced this in your various motor builds, right?

Now I can't speak with authority about two-valve or air-cooled motors, but for a four-valve, DOHC, liquid-cooled, normally-aspirated, pentroof chambered engine, the critical PTV point tends to converge on a very narrow range of crank positions. Do you care to offer your opinion on this range?

hell.. if he's willing to drive to show proof, then he should be willing to prove his shit in a much easier fashion here.

shit man.. for a free bike (turbo 14 at that!! holy shit) it's more than worth the effort.

you sir, either have WAY too damn much money or are really trying to prove a point on him.

i guess that 14 could be a tax-deductible charitable donation?

LOL

so flite? whats up.. you just got offered a free bike, dude.

FL, all I asked for was an "aproximate position on the degree wheel". It doesnt vary that much. +/- a handfull of degrees.

Tim knows the answer as does Karl and MANY other people on this board.
All you have to have done is checked the P to V clearance on an engine ONE TIME in your life and you could have known this. You could have even said "I checked it once but I dont remember now" and I could understand that you didnt remember it. But certainally if you have built "many" engines "correctly", as you have stated many times, then you would have certainally known the aproximate position on the degree wheel.

Well this has been fun. But I think we have made our point.
You guys who have known me on this board for about 8 years now, know that this isnt my style at all to get in someones face. I think its a first.

I just felt this FL guy was dangerous to people who may not know how misleading and inaccurate most of what he says is. People come to read this board for information and dont need to be mislead by Flite Leaders posts.
I'm not going to beat a dead horse, I think hes been exposed as a poser now without any doubt.

So with that said I'm not going to waste any more time with this guy. I wouldnt mind if he had somthing to offer, we all learn new things everyday, or if he was trying to learn somthing. But neither is the case.

FL, good luck in your endeavors.

Dangerous is probably the best description.

Check the ZX-10R forum here where he's advising a guy to draft others in top end street races. Yeah, telling an amateur to draft another amateur on public roads at high speeds to make a pass in a street race. Can we say, "Fatal Accidental Collision"?

HAHAHAAHAH i was about to say the same thing.

guess what there, flite loser?
i GLADLY, PUBLICLY AND OPENLY ADMIT that i don't have entry sheets or a customer list a mile long with 20 years of engine building excellence.. everyone here knows that.

WHAT I CAN DO, however, is post pics of me riding, lapping valves, doing adjustments, tuning efi setups, post up machines i've built and ridden, installing pistons, testimonials, take a pic of my electrical degree and varios engine and electrical certs i've attained.

oh.. shit!! wait.. ahh!!!! looky here.. guess what? i back my shit up.

the shop i work at.. that bigass blue toolbox? ya.. mine dude. one of 2 that are full.

heres a pair of race quads i built. the YZF is cammed and has a hi-comp JE slug and new head, the LT-r has a two brothers juice box, cams on the way, big bore kit, all new bearings and pumps (theres 3 oil pumps..) full yosh exhaust, yosh cherry bomb, and my own "map" i guess you could say on the juicebox.

heres an (N/A, 241 WHP) 05 busa i built with my old shop co-owner. a few 1st-place trophies under the belt there, thank you.

oh.. is that me with that hi-comp piston (for that yzf450) in my hand? why, yes it is!!

heres the motor i redid for my 7-R

remember that polaris head i was wondering the test indicator stuff on? oh.. look!! here i am removing te valves with a tool i designed and built to be able to use an automotive valve remover.

that tool? heres a look at the whole thing.. you'll recongize.. (or.. maybe not.) the valve removal tool from sears, if you've ever been in there.

the little extension i made fits ANY "bucket" style head. hell.. any bike head in general.

heres some tools i made as a machinist. various stainless hex drives for axles and a rear wheel alignment tool.

this very LMP900 Audi R8 is the one i worked on in 02 at RFK stadium and Mid Ohio.
i did the carbon fiber work. see those "splitters" in front of the front wheel? i made em

oh shit. imagine that. proof. a little peek into my life.. want more? i'll be sure to get some pisc of me running wires for 3 phase printing presses or checking piston rock upon request
