Flite Leader- Exactly what have you built / tuned / or ridden that is worth talking about?

That's all I want to know, that's what we ALL want to know and have been asking you.

Why do you keep dodging this direct question?

Why can't you just site some examples (or even one) of your work?

I keep hearing you say that you've learned from the best, raced bikes and cars, etc..... yet you haven't given us any details beyond that.

I'm starting to think you know a thing or two.... but haven't done squat. If you did, then you would have thrown it in everyone's face by now, but instead you keep giving vague info about your actual experience.

Either you're really someone else and pulling the mother of all winter fishing expeditions..... or you're just another "all talk, no walk" mechanic with "woulda, shoulda, coulda" excuses as to why he has no real accomplishments in the sport.

Which is it?

OK folks, we've had our fun, but enough thread jacking.

Flight started a serious thread, let's get back to the main issues:

1. Squish: how loose is TOO loose?
(FL: please give us a number & pix of measurement technique)

2. Which synthetic oil is best in the case of loose squish?
(Royal Purple?)

oil has nothing to do with squish

another young lady questioned in a thread did she not aboy

preignition & detonation

both usually occur as a direct result of losing the squish ban in a cylinder

she can ask ..... but i cant comment

thats dumb

from the pix & what i commented on was simplythe obvious

& a concern for most

from all thats wrong with that sphagetti engine ..... is fallin apart

the priority would be to narrow it down & KNOW what caused it

Fix it with the intent of not having it happen again...... GAIN some reliabilty

& then look for or build more HP

2 pistons smacking valves......if i built an engine like that for any of you

you would be hoppin mad

no less the clearances of the big end of the crank bearings............ could possibly

be part olf the problem..........................hhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

now you gonna try to get more........ gain more........... spray more

that makes absolutely NO sense

the only thing you gonna do is break more

he may have started off with good intentions

hw may have missed his mark in ceratin areas

that does not mean he cant learn..................................or maybe it does

cause NONE of you guys are doing him any Favors letting him put

together an engine like that

only having it to come apart

the very least you could do is give him a heads up.................tell him

or SHOW how to do it right.......What to LOOK Out for

yet you take a crack at me..........................& you get NOTHING

it dont hurt my feeling.......cost me a damn thing & all i got to do is wait

tiime is on my side.................the shit ive seen torn up on this site

just from adding testosterone +adrenaline= the drug of stupidity

aint no NEW Ground being broken sprayin & racing a 12

asking about slipper clutches = 3 decades old........sprayin =2 decades old

big bore kits= 5 decades old....................breaking parts = since forever

& worst of all bad set up.... bad mechanicing...........since forever ! !! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! !

no NEW Ground at all

Flite, the only reason my motor had pistons hitting valves was due to me not hitting the shift button soon enough and hitting the rev limiter. THATS IT! so you can stop your condesending remarks about me and my work. it takes a LOT to really piss me off but you have done it. dont ever post in any thread i ever start again. you are absolutely the most negative and know it all smart ass ive ever seen on bikeland with no proof to back up your statements. im done with you. Its very obvious I can get as much tech info as i need from nice people on this forum like Karl, Tim, Doug, Jim, JC, VH, Gary, Shane, the list goes on and on...

bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Flite,
you are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fukken out to lunch, i am enjoying the hell out it.

You are like those deranged street people with a shopping cart full o' cans & shit, standing on a corner yelling stuff. I always give them a few bux cause they entertain me.

Gimme an address and i'll send you a few bux.

Still laughing my ass off, and I don't have any to spare. And Scott you are sooooooooooo right about the extremely smart and talented people on this sight wwho are willing to help us in any way that they can. They know who they are and so do we because their pudding has been overwhelmingly proven time and time again. So not let fright leader get your blood boiling. From what I can tell that is his whole purpose for posting to begin with. He has a pervese need to start drama and piss people off and then he sits back comforted as he watches people get pissed. This is so obvious about him that is what makes me laugh so hard. Anyway he probably doesnt even have a squish stick and if he does it is probably squished beyond being of any use to anyone. Speaking of out to lunch Karl, tuna squish anyone?

scott when i made my first comments its unfortunate you took them personal

i simply was commenting on the pix you presented........& THAT EVIDENCE

i didnt even comment on the photo where it looked like piston to valve contact
simply because the photo was bad....................i usually like to know what im talking about

it was obvvious about the spit shim tho........................& i commented on it Accurately
& the rev limiter

its obvious looking at ALL the pix there was a Lot wrong with the engine
as i said b4 i had no desire rto drop the hammer on you

there is always the desire to go Faster
yet overall you probably are down 25-40 HP on that engine set up
with that you would go Faster !!

there is no doubt in my mind there is someone near to you that is a methodical.... meticulous engine builder.........................or at least someone that specializes in cranks...... head work etc could show you what you need to learn & know

bowed valves springs WILL fail
valves smacking pistons WILL Fail
spit shims WILL fail
spaghetti cranks WILL Fail
& none of them have anything to do with you running Nitrous or running Hard

but ALL to do with set up & Maintenance
am i to believe the valves were smacking the pistons & the shims were properly clearanced
proper clearance & they touched
something is mightily wrong ! ! ! ! ! !!!!!

thats why i brought up the crank issue.....................both of those cylinders rise & fall at the SAME time
valves properly shimmed should be NO Where near the pistons

there again unless you degreed your cams wrong
still another of TOOOOOOOOO Many problems

you can try to gain 20 or 30 HP over the 25-40 your are throwing away
& as long as you are going faster its a confirmation............................to you anyway
UNTIL YOU BREAK

that engine was going to let go
that spit shim & the fact the rev limiter [already delineated]
saved you from a big break & meltdown & more part$$$$$$

putting it together the SAME Way this time is only putting makeup
on an UGLY Pig

now i know its expected that talkin smak is part of racin
all the good ones i know never did
& expecting me to tell all what mountain motor id build if i had a wish list
misses the point all together

you need a smarter tighter build
& then you will go faster................much faster
& be a hell a lot more reliable

now its near xmas
& for various reasons people celebrate
its going to be rufff on many unexpectedly & for many ruffer than that
thru NO fault of their own

im going to close this down on my part
cause if there is no reason..................no openess or will to learn
an honest exchange of info/knowledge CANT take place

out of repect to the season & good will
i hope all will have a good holiday season & a better new year

& shane......" ive forgotten more than u will ever know"

ciao

Flite, you don't KNOW what Shane KNOWS , and he doesn't know what you know. But those of us on the board know he's gone 9.3 on a stock motored naturally aspireted zx14 on pump gas in the 1/4 and went 190 at Maxton....UNTUNED. And those of us that actually frequent these tracks know he's OVER 200 lbs so he isn't exactly incapable, which directly implies he isn't exactly dumb. Those are REAL NUMBERS that can be SUBSTANTIATED, have been DOCUMENTED and can easily be PROVEN. I bring that up because he at least has something to bring to the table and has "cred" on the board. He doesn't hide behind a keyboard, he's not some anonymous keyboard racer. We've seen him go from mediocre racer to respectable, wheras I haven't seen anyone vouch for ya.

But like you said, out of respect for the season & good will best to give it all a rest. Take it easy, maybe you can hop on something in the 200 mph range and meet up w/us at a race. More fun than smack talk on the boards all day long.
