Unofficial Texas Mile 09 Dates

NOT OFFICIAL until it hits their web site but, a little heads up does not hurt. March 28-29 and Oct. 17-18.

Who is planning on making it?

Who is doing winter Builds/Prep work?

What are you bringing?

Gary "TRNorBRN":
Old ZX-12 going through a top end head clean-up after getting a little hot with the spray.
Hope the old motor will pull 215HP N/A up from 210HP on last set up.............................just wishful thinking, I'll be lucky to get 205 with all them old parts going back in. Backing the spray down from a 120 shot to a 80 or so shot (280HP with spray). Looking for 205-210mph at the Texas Mile and 210-215mph at Maxton this year.

Andy from Metric Motorcycles in Houston is cleaning the head up a little and dropping in some fatty Brass/Bronze exhuast seats. I'll post pics of it cleanned up when I get it back

Robert (Big Bro) "AusTexBusa":
Working on a dedicated LSR Bike. Should be a somewhat big motor to scoot him around with a touch of spray. Should have all the parts ready for the build by the end of December.
Looking for a conservative 240HP N/A and maybe a little 80 shot on to top to get him through the traps. He will be shooting for 200mph!

It might be hard to do a texas run a week before Maxton , but I might be able to make it down there with the bike in march.

here is what i am doing

MSD SB6 ignition
wiring up an AFR safety switch to turn off the nitrous when the AFR gets over 12.5.
changing from a dry shot to a wet shot :-)
air shifter

and if i can get the new motor finished ,,,, I might even have a 1530 in the zx14 :-)

Very cool! Dang that 14 is a monster! Hope to see you at the Texas Mile.

Curious how large of a shot will you be running?

How about a picture of you and the bike?
