Damn...My log-in actually still works!
It's been a long time since I have been on here.
Here is the scoop.
I sold ZX12R and now....I am FREAKING BORED!!!
So, I need a new bike and I am planning to buy one next year.
What to buy?
I want a bike that I can take to the track and at least run 9's but yet ride it on the street everyday.
ZX14?

How is the fit on a ZX14 for a smaller person? comfy? Anybody know?
I know that I can get the bike lowered but..I am only 5'4" and tend to have to stretch across the tank / reach issues that makes it uncomfortable to ride. The ZX12R was ok.

Hey Angi,
I was beginning to think you fell off the face of the earth! Glad you're back.
The 14's are the ticket, great power and a super tough clutch....not like our old 12's.
As you know the 'Busa has got a ton of aftermarket stuff available but the 14 is gaining some ground.
With bolt-ons the 14 and 'Busa are so close but I know you bleed green and I see a 14 in your future. :-)
Good to hear from you,
Dan

Just FYI: Copy and pasted from the ZX12 forum....what I have been up to -
Even though I have been single for a few years.
2008 was my year.....I figured out a few things this year.
- I am not the little housewife type...lol. I can still clean/cook but then it is freaking time to get out and have some fun.
- I am 38 with no kids at home.....FREEDOM.
- Dropped 25 lbs and got in shape ...there are ab muscles under there...lol
- Quit smoking.
- Rode dirtbikes for the first time - loved it
- Geared up to jump on a snowmobile as soon as the snow flies.
- I do not think that there was anything with a motor that I did not ride this summer.
- I miss drag racing and HAVE to buy another bike.
And my motto is "Life is an adventure and I am driving!!!"

How in the hell have you been?
And we ALL (me especially ) have been missing on you!
Everybody has "interesting" twists and turns in the lives ('cept me, i'm boring), and it is soooooooooooooooooooo cool that your life took a turn back toward yr pals at Bikeland.
I haven't been to the drags in nearly 2 years, been doing Land Speed at the Texas Mile and Maxton. I miis dragging, but the Mile events are further apart and give me more time to fiddle-fuck around with my heap. Learning a ton from the likes of Y2K, TimChin, Doug Meyer, going faster each time.
WELCOME BACK ANGI!!!!!

Feels nice to be on the top of the missed list !!! Welcome Back!!!
The 14 reach and pegs feel almost exact to the 12 but when you lean over on the tank it's much more comfortable on your stomach...Pulls harder than the 12!!!

That sounds like fun.....I am going to have to add this to my list of things to do. Right under skydiving....

Then perhaps getting a free ticket to the bike show is in order so you can compare all of them together. If I were your weight,I would not rule out a thou bike, which could still get you into the 9's.Welcome back!

OK I am 5'4" and 115lbs. I had a zx14 the firstyear they came out 2006. I loved it so much I wanted to marry it. By all means get a 14 unless of couse you like riding a bike that looks somewhat like a camel then of course get the Busa! The 14 is so easy to ride it is great in town and can pull away from a stop in at least the first three gears, not that you would want to but it is a great bike. Be careful the first time you get in the 5000 to 6000rpm range becasue it turns into a monster. That is probably an understatement but in any gear when you hit that rpm range you had better be paying attention. You will love this great bike although I think Kawasaki could improve on the color schemes they offer! The zx10 is also a very fast bike and is so nimble. It is not as comfortable to ride becasue I think it was set up more for road race than cruising. I prefer the 14 because I like to ride for hours on end. The 10 is just to uncomfortable for that. And I tend to outride my ability on the 10 because it is just so nimble before I know it I am in a corner going way to fast and praying for devine intervention. The 14 commands my respect and I dont find myself thinking I the goddess of road race! Hope this helps.
