some guys use 4 wideband O2 sensors to map each cylinder. If I stick with 1 O2 sensor after the collector so its reads a mix of all 4, but log each EGT I would know if any cylinders are having a problem. plugged jet, no fire ect.

Ok, If I have to buy a DL-32 to record the output from the TC-4, I could get an LC-1 and sell my current setup....I wouldnt need the LM-1 or LMA-2 with the DL-32 as long as I connect a wideband O2 to the DL-32 right? It will do RPM, and Im assuming TPS since it does 0-5v signals....

All you need is the DL-32 and LC-1.:

32 channels of data recording
5 internal channels
17 Minutes of recording per MB of SD card capacity
1-bar to 3-bar pressure sensor (MAP, Vacuum, Boost, etc.)
Thermocouple amplifier (EGT, CHT)
Duty cycle (dwell) or frequency
2-axis accelerometer (acceleration Gs, braking Gs, and cornering Gs)
RPM input
5V power supply for external sensors
Expansion ports for future upgradeability
MTS compliant

If you just want to EGT one cylinder, it looks like you won't even need the TC-4.

I really want all 4 (damn Im picky lol) or maybe 3 extra LC-1s....but thats getting really expensive again. If I just log one out of 4, or a mix of all 4, Im really running blind. for example if I log AFR at the collector like I had been, and take EGT from #4, and I have a nitrous jet plug on #2 and a fuel jet plug on #3, I wouldnt know anything was wrong untill I melted somthing in #3....
Im going to be broke all winter getting what I want lol

I like all 4 egt, obviously. It's the only way to really know what is going on. That is why I chose it, even running dry. But you could always start with the DL-32/LC-1 and add a TC-4 later. It is expensive stuff.

YES! 4 is always better than one, but 1 is better than NONE! taht is also why I allow 1350 to 1400 MAX Egt also! 5% variation and I am still in the park! Also I set this up in 2003 when all of this was not as easy to do as it is now! I also plan to hook up some king of NOS Kill to the EGT if I had that I would not be into this engine rebuild!

Karl, I think you need to create more of the chain. the DL-32 can record from other devices, if you connected say a LMA-3 to the input serial port of the DL-32 you get to record the data from it aswell. you can even connect the LM-1 and LMA-2 with the LMA-3 for even more channels that can be recorded by the DL-32 (yeah ive been reading a bunch of manuals today lol)
