Glowing shift light
Just installed a Dyna shift light....When I rev up the motor, the light is glowing,or coming on real dim...But when revved to 6000 base setup it comes on nice and bright, still just a little dim just before.....Just cruising around it will be dim all the time above 2 or 3000 rpm`s....Anyone have this happen before...Green hooked into light blue tach wire, black grounded to tank hold down bolt by fuse box.....Any clues???

Scott . you are right....8k is base.....I spliced the red switched hot wire into the wire that runs back to the airshifter solinoid from the fuse box on top of the tank...Muzzy setup kit....I wonder if I shoulsd just dedicate the switched hot to just the shift light....
AAHHH come to think of it,I think that wire that I spliced into is the engine kill wire for the air shifter,dammit...I need to go back out and take off the tank cover and check it out....
WOW.....

You do if your rev limit is 12,200. Also, kinda hard to watch the tach with the front end two feet off the ground, better to have your eye on the track.............

I could give you my clutch set up so it wouldn't go two feet off the ground. Sorry,I couldn't help myself!

Something is either hooked up wrong or you have a bad box. The Dyna should not be glowing until it is triggered to light up.
