Schnitz TPRS-002 RPM Window switch with gear activation

I think i have most of it figured out from the manual, but it doesnt really go into detail on how to set it up based on gear position instead of throttle position. i want to use gear pos as i want it to activate my nitrous in second gear and up, (in first a 60 shot without a progressive controller would be too violent, it may be too much in second, but i wont know till i try it) and from 7500 rpm to 11000 rpm (turning off just before the shift point).
i have a micro switch, so it will only work when at 100% throttle anyway
from looking at the manual for the bike, theres 7 wires coming from the gear pos sensor. neutral puts out 12v, and the rest are 0-5 v. does anyone know the voltages that each gear puts out? are they the same?(something tells me they are all different )
if i want to have nitrous activated in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th gears, i just connect all those wires to the analog input of the window switch right? im assuming i will need some sort of diode to prevent the wires from shorting together too? a nice little LED board could be used and could double as a gear pos indicator too? (lable the lights from 2-6)
another idea. if each gear has its own specific voltage, and the higher the gear, the higher the voltage, i could just turn the dial on the switch to have the nitrous wait to come on in a higher gear(for sandbagging purposes lol only use nitrous in 4-6)
or, a more basic design, have an individual toggle switch for each wire so i can manually choose what gear i want nitrous to be activated in. again, for sandbagging purposes, have nitrous activated in 2n and 3rd, but run on motor for 3-6 for example

RR i know you know some of the voltage stuff.
help is greatly appreciated guys!

ok, after playing around with some wiring, and reading more of the manual, i found out that my ideas were a bit backwards. when the bike is in a specific gear, the respective gear pos wire shows 0V and the rest can vary from 0-5V (except neutral which is 12V)
how can i make this work with my window switch?

got a very helpful reply from Ryan, im going to go see if i can get something to work. the "backwards" wiring is going to be tricky. we both thought that when the bike was in gear it would have a voltage for that wire, not no voltage. right now im going to see if i can connect to the wire for first gear. if its in first, it should not have any current, and the nitrous wont activate, but when in any other gear, the wire should have between 0-5 V.

I thought the ecu had different timing for some of the gears.don't know if that could be affected by your set up.

and i got it!
I connected the 1st gear wire to an unused port on my data logger, connected to computer and fired up log works. (just a side note, my other unused ports show 0.07v to 0.08v)
1st 0.06v
2nd 2.32v
3rd 3.03v
4th 3.67v
5th 4.36v
6th 4.69v

depending on what gear i want the nitrous delayed to, i just turn the dial to the minumim activation voltage on the TPRS.
dial voltage
0 1.00v
1 1.50v
2 2.00v
3 2.25v
4 2.50v
5 2.75v
6 3.00v
7 3.25v
8 3.50v
9 3.75v
A 4.00v
B 4.25v
C 4.50v
D 4.75v
E 4.90v

turn the dial to 0-3 i have second gear activation, 4,5 third gear activation, ect ect...

Hey Scott, I will be installing the TPRS-002 and I was wondering did you connect wires from 2nd-6th to the switch? Where are those wires located? Possibly colors.

you only need to connect to the first gear wire. i tapped into it right above the sensor (in the area that you plug the power commander in). i believe its the blue/red wire. you know you have the right one if theres no current thru that wire when in first gear
