dyna shift light
ok, im trying to setup my dyna shift light ( DSM-2H ) that i got from Smokinzx14 on my 12 and im having some trouble. for power and ground i just tapped into the city light, and for the tach signal im using the light blue wire on the back of the tach. everything works, but i only have a range of 3000 to 8000 rpm to set the light at.
what did i do wrong?

I'm not familiar with the MSD setup, but I assume it has dip switches. Sounds like you are setup for an 8 cylinder instead of a 4 cyclinder. I had this issue with my raptor shift light. Its a simple fix if thats your problem.

Scott, I actually set the raptor up for '2 cylinder' mode. Not sure how it works-- but it doubled my tach signal which allowed me to program it up to 10,800 rpm.

Its not an MSD, its a Dyna. yes dip switches, but nothing for changing what type of motor you have. i think i may have to use the coils to get the proper amount of pulses. hmmm
