Good idea!

Ship, if memory serves me correctly, this throttle set up was designed for roadracing. To WOT, you would actually have to turn the throttle WAY more than just whacking it. It actually turns the throttle in smaller increments?
FWIW--I could be totally incorrect.

all you need is away to make the cam on the trottle tube bigger, some bikes you can do this using a piece of a tie wrap and some epoxy

I have never heard of a 1/6th but i have heard of 1/4 for many years for quicker throttle response but it sounds like you want less?

Contact these guys. I've got a 1/5th on a 14 and it works for me. Check out the part number on your throttle assembly at Kaw's website to see if it is the same as on other models. If I recall the 14 and the 10 are the same. I don't know about the 12

There is a R1 stock throttle handle that does the same thing for less than $20.

yes, the R1 grip will work, it is about 3/8ths of an inch shorter the the kawi grip and there will be a gap between the end of the grip and the bar end weight. the rubber will also be different. If you don't have a problem with that (track bike) then the R1 grip is the way to go.
the inserts mentioned above fit inside the OEM housing, on the OEM grip so the original asthetics are maintaned.
Most of the Race throttles are even shorter 1/6 or less and require a custom housing and cables (that's why they are significantly more expensive).
PM me if you have more questions. I can get you hooked up.

Rifleman's cam works great, really quick to install,
just heavy on the wrist for long rides if you don't have a cruise control
Otherwise great addition, took total of 30min. to install
