Billet Basket Question/Pics
I just unpacked my 12R billet clutch basket for the first time. I noticed that the two gear sections are not aligned on it. Is this normal? I didn't remove the basket, so I don't know what it looked like before it was sent out:

Yes that normal...
While installing you need to put a small screw driver, small center punch or whatever you have that fits in that small hole (lol) that wont bend to get the gears to line up and fit onto the engine gear...
Put oil on the needle bearing and sleeve before installing...
It's tricky Shane.....Put the basket onto the shaft without the needle bearing and sleeve, allign the gears while holding/twisting the basket into place, so you can see how the gear lines up flush with the engine gear where it meets on top!!!...After you have it all lined up then put the needle bearing and sleeve onto the shaft slowly forcing them into place...
Make sure the basket gear is flush against the engine gear on the top, then you know it's fully in place...Dont forget to push the sleeve and needle bearing all the way onto the shaft when your done...

Thanks Rick. I am just taking inventory of some of my parts today. I picked up my stuff from the shop a few weeks ago and I'm just now getting around to checking things out.

I use a Long thin Needle Punch that is about 1/4 inch in Diameter and taper round off thge head! I then grease it s little and from inside the basket knock it though the Hole then easy to install the split gear basket. That is done so that there is less drive line lash when you let on and off the throttle and makes it a little quieter also!
