pointing monkey

Looking for the reason why there are guys on the launch pad pointing to where they should line up.I never had a problem finding where the first light would turn on.Is it to show where the most amount of VHT is on the track?Curious.

im guessing its for guys to find the beams to turn on the prestage like you say. i wouldnt think that getting in the groove would be hard at all.. its plain as day (even when we race at night) probly for new guys or guys that get all worked up and nervous. i never had any issues my first runs, but i had been around my uncles cars for a few yrs (up on the pad during the burn out and launch)

Sometime the best stick is not where you think it is.
I have helped friends line up in the STICKY groove after they swore the track was shitty.
When you walk out there, your shoes will tell you when you're in the sticky part of the groove. When you have a good tire set at the right PSI on a good track it's not needed.
Traction not as important when your 60' is slow.

It's not just right at the start, but also 20 ft. out, where the track gets ripped up more!!!

With big motor bikes or guys that grab alot of throttle need a good spot for traction

It helps alot during competition, so its 1 less thing to worry about...

you really should be set up to run on some traction not on oil, you would go faster.

No disrespect but 1.4 short times dont seem impressive at all on a lock up.
I run consistent mid 1.4's on 3 different bikes, all stock clutches.
