Man, where to start.......
First of all everyone came home in one piece with their bikes running, well Gary had that little carbon can modification due to a "slight" nitrous hiccup but not before he ran a 210+ backed up with a 208+.
Karl broke in the 200's (sounds good doesn't it?) with a couple 203 passes on motor, Zack made a 205 pass on it later.
I know Ryan broke 200 on his 'Busa but never could here all the numbers.
Sal was flying as usual and rode a Gixxer 750 to I believe some low 180 passes but the speaker was screwed up and never did hear for sure.
Zack's best was a 198+ on his 14, flirted with 200 but never made it.
Dean ran a stout 210+ naked and had some left but could not monitor his data and wisely didn't want to chance things.
Chad didn't have his 10 there but rode DaveO's all motor 'Busa to a 221+.
Charlie made another 256 pass along with a string of 250 pluses but could never put together a perfect pass.........hope I'm there when he does 'cause history will be made.
I saw Todd run a 207 and not sure about Deb, hopefully they'll chime in and help out.
I made some errand runs on my KLR but no records where broke. I just took pictures and had a blast.
As always it was great to see Vincent and some folks I heven't seen in years along with meeting some fine folks for the first time finally like Gary and Jim (Y2K).
All in all it was a great time.
Come cooler weather all the above numbers will grow as it was hot, hot, hot!
Thanks for the memories guys.

Wow, looks like you guys had a great time and ran some darn good #'s in that heat! I'm impressed to say the least.
I'd just like to say congrats to all you guys,
Sal - You did exactly what you said you were going to do, as usual. Congrats on the new 750cc Production and MPS records!
Dale - I'm proud of you buddy! Mission accomplished!! Next stop... 200mph.
Chad - Amazing riding on Dave's bike! 221+mph in the heat and all motor is crazy fast! I'm sure with better air you would have been knocking on the door of the new top N/A record! Dave sure can build/tune one hell of a bike!
Zack - Hell of a job on the 14 and fantastic run on Karl's bike at 205mph!
Karl - Well done!!! 203+mph!!! I bet it felt nice to run without those texas headwinds, eh?
Dr.Gary - Wow, 210+mph on a ZX-12R.... that hasn't been done at Maxton for quite some time!
Mr.V.Hill/Mr.D.Millholland - Sorry for bailing out on you guys, I know we'll get a chance to meet later this year. Hopefully all our 12's will be ready by Oct. and we can put down our wrenches and start racing.

Finally Met Dr High Speed Gary Dow! Those Muzz Man CF Mufflers just are not as good as his Ti Mufflers!
Y2K May even know MORE than we think he does! karl FINALLY Making it over 200 and then Chad only going 2 MPH Faster tells you just how well he rode the bike because Chad had a few problems getting to 205!~
My Tired Behind 1,000 miles on the ZRX1100 were only helped by the fact that I got 47.6 MPH and Steve got 49.8 MPG! Now that is Fuel Mileage!

2000 Kawasaki Green ZX-12 Stroker with juice and one fat old guy on it 210.40327mph
First off I just want to thank everyone at Maxton, they are some real nice folks there. They would give you the shirt off their back even if you didn't ask for any help. Second, hanging with the TFA is always the best!!!!!!!!! Thanks Karl (Entropy) for making this trip possible for me, I would not have done it without you. Great to meet all the people I have talked to online but never met in person. Special thanks to Mr. JohnnyCheese for putting together a bullet proof stroker that is my regular street bike. In his words "who says you can't run a stroker 12 on juice and have it live". The bike now has a few Texas Mile visits, about 4k street miles, a ton of Dyno pulls with and without juice, and one special visit to Maxton. It'll be a sad day when I have to retire the old 12 to street duty, but my Bro and I now have a designated LSR project bike. Maybe one last go at Texas and Maxton.
OldKawBoy, Dan, the kids, Mr. Hill It was a pleasure meeting you all. Same withY2k, Jim,TShultz, Ex-skydiver, ZRXDean, Joe (tech guy from Long Island), Ice Man, Bill, Todd, Deb, and those people I never new till that day like Kieth and Al, quirky but real nice!
Special congrats to Entropy 203 and Ryan 200. I am sure this is just the beginning of TFA ventures to Maxton.
Thank you much Mr. Hill for giving me the go at the start line!
PS: Yep, that would be my muffler that popped. I usually do not leave the juice on when I shift, but I was in 5th comming up real close to the one mile marker and did not feel I had time to let off. So I assume a little nos was left in the muffler and ignited. Mr. Hill said he saw it from the start line, I did not hear or feel anything and did not realize it until someone said something to me. I jumped off the bike and grabbed Kieth immediately so they could shut the track down. Sorry about that.
Thanks again you all,
Gary Dow

man o' man what an event!!!!!
3 traveling TFA-ers all hit 200+, no broken motors, a first!!!!!
HUGE thanks to Zack Millholland; took my heap for 3 passes and got it to 205 despite the mysterious gremlin.
VERY special thanks to Gary for helping make the trip from Texas possible, we'll do it again, eh!
I couldn't have done it without you.
Organizers at Maxton were great to us, especially Todd & Debby who really made us feel welcome; THANKS!!
Keith, Race Director, was everywhere, constantly swilling Diet Coke and helping everybody.
Tech was very thorough, but reasonable and obviously done for our safety.
Track is a bit bumpier than Texas but no big deal and having a long shut down is REAL nice, i used it every pass.
The heat? No worse than Texas.
The wind? WAY better than Texas. About 5mph by my reckoning.
Fish;
Bikelanders in attendance (from memory, somebody please fill in the blanks)
Gary - TRNorBRN6001
Ryan - Osti33
Wild Bill (Osti Dad)
Jim - Y2KZX12R
Y2K friend
Vincent Hill
VH 3 friends
Todd - Tschultz
Tschultz Dad
John - exskydiver, came from Canada.
Debby - DaMurf
Todd - narider
Shane - shane661
Rachael
Dan Millholland - oldkawboy, quick with a 10mm hex key!
Zack Millholand - madkaw - shows entropy how to ride!
Chad Millholland
Dean - zrxdean
Sal - THE ICE MAN
Karl - entropy
entropy 2 Son & his gf the umbrella girl
lotsa folks missed it who we wished were there, incl Buddy, MadMike & Dad, JohnnyCheese, Phantom, Ali, Voz , Fish, many more. Maybe next time, and there WILL be a next time for TFA at Maxton
I was real happy with my 203.2 and 202.9.
Zack took my heap, ran 205.1 but encountered the same glitch that DaveO experienced in Texas. "it started 'fluttering', falling off at 11K, way before the traps" Said there's "lots more in it..."
I'll be looking for that glitch this summer

What a great time, even as a spectator.
It was great finally meeting everyone and being able to put a name to a face to a screen name. I met so many new people Its hard to remember everyone I met for the first time this weekend. I'm terrible at names as it is.
I finally got to meet Ryan (osti33) after many phone calls over the last few years!!!
I even learned a few things from Mr. Hill this weekend.
Thanks again Dan (oldkawboy) for dinner, but next time its my turn.
I'd say overall TFA did great with no major problems!!! Everyone was over 200 and went home intact. Thats a win every time!
I'll get some pics up......

Racheal and I had a great time, it was nice to meet and re-meet some of you out there.
Although I had the 14 with me, I never got a chance to prep it. I had to do a few things to Racheal's Busa and that limited the bike to one run on Saturday.
We had only had the Busa for 2 weeks when we arrived at Maxton, so we decided to take it really easy and run on 6-7 lbs. of boost. We also had 6 degrees of timing out and were running 116 fuel. To say that we were tuned conservatively is an understatement! I logged a/f and we never touched the boost controller all weekend. The bike still had the speed limiter on it when we arrived! I made one pass on it Saturday. After trying to shift to 7th, I held it at 180 mph for about 1/3 of the track...being careful to avoid hitting the limiter with the turbo.
Sunday morning Dave O had an ECU (thanks Dave!) for us to get rid of the speed limiter in 6th. Racheal made her first pass on the bike at 193 mph. I followed it up with a 190 mph pass. She then upped it to 194 mph. I changed the sprocket and she dropped to 192. That was all the time we had.
We're looking forward to September. Maybe I'll even get to run the 14.
Shane
