Yep, he slowed to a 7.09 on a 7.05, with a .513 light, which covered my 6.55 on a 6.50 with a .605 light. If he hadn't braked, he would've broken out I imagine.
After people realized he was going to be OK, a few guys came up and let me know that according to the rules, since he crossed the centerline, he lost, but there's no way in hell I would do that. He had me beat, and paid dearly for it.

Your car is slow,there was no damage to the pistons,however,it was a 1270 motor(JE's)end result,spun crank bearings(probably from water in the oil),so if your oil light comes on,check your motor,look for leaks,and it will slow down too,then we will have to change your name to"your bike is slow"-seriously though,how the hell is King and others surviving on big shot dry kits??Cylinder pressure??fuel??Plugs??

*shrug....guess some bikes were put together better than others by kawi.
Im pretty sure he has an upgraded fuel pump...so that takes care of delivery (provided the injectors arent maxxed out). Id also bet he is running a colder plug than stock. I have contemplated going down a range when I change my plugs at 10k just for peace of mind.
It certainly seems like they wont survive any sort of detonation with that big a shot (understandably)....so I guess the key is providing enough fuel (or high enough octane) or retarding the timing to keep detonation from happening.
If (read when) I ventilate mine...it will get rebuilt with stronger goodies...and even perhaps muzzys wet setup.

Wheeeee....fat went faster tonight than its ever gone before!
6.72@118. Was in the 6.7x@117/118 all night....I love the new 16x44 gearing...bike doesnt come up nearly as much as it used to! I should have done this long ago.

the MPH was more consistent than the ET. I missed shifts twice last night...It really disturbs me as I have not missed a shift in as long as I can remember. Im going to replace the clutch springs again and check the plates while im at it.
All my full passes were 6.7x to 6.8x however....
Im also experiencing a bogging problem off the line...its like the engine just loses power when I launch. I always tach it up to 7k and roll further on the throttle and slipnslide the clutch...twice last night the rpms would just SHOOT down to nearly idle and id have to completely pull in the clutch lever and go wot to recover.
Again...more issues ill have to work out :/

That happens to me - it just means I gave it too much clutch too soon. It's a fine line between slipnslide and bog. Sometimes I am quicker if it bogs a little and 'pulls' me out of the hole - torque is a good thing.
You gotta get some leathers and try it on the 1/4 mile... mo fun.
