Flywheel removal.......

Need tips on removing flywheel from a crank. Didn't want to push in a press and break it. Or hit with a mallet. Do I need the special tool? Karl, KzScott, Trn..anybody chime in..........

if your just splitting the cases you don`t have to remove the flywheel.i would use the correct tool to remove it though.
