internal crankcase breather tube: use it or lose it?
On the 12 there is a flexible breather tube
some folks say ditch it for race bikes, just for convenience in putting the cases together.
It's not much of a problem, but the question is, do you really need it?
Any bad stuff happen if you ditch it?

I ditched mine on the 12 the very first time I split the cases. It was never a problem. YMMV...

When I was on the phone with Coby, he said he had some guys say they had oil come out of it.........?
I have never had the issue. I left mine in.......,
He said it really does not matter, but for my stock application, I left it in.........
Not that big of a deal to put the cases together with it there, and it can be put on after they are together as well........., mine actually has a trimmed piece of fuel line in it right now......., as I had cut the other ones for the Koenig pan

I never understood the logic behind that tube.
It is a vent but the end is below the oil level.
There are baffels in the case under that cover to help
remove the oil.
Why did Kawi not leave it short above the oil line?
MAybe it's not below oil level when at high RPM's/high blow-by because the oil is not in the pan except the sump.
If anyone understands, PLEASE EXPLAIN!
