one thing I did find is it works better with a lower stack height, on a higher stack height the actuator rolls around and pulls the rod at the end of the stroke which wears on the very tips of the fork. when it lower it starts to pull sooner and uses more surface area of the fork.
I set my stack height up high and added another washer to the shaft , a washer the bearing and another washer, the washer is .040 so the rods theoretical stack height is 2.240 with a stack height of 2.280. seems to help but it is showing wear . The oil hole we put in it helped to, I am not seeing the wear and discoloration of the shaft anymore.

Hope it works......
I would invest in a lock up, more reliable, and proven to work......

heres my dilema, if i run some of the classes I want to run they dont allow a lock up, like super bike in the hurricane alley series, or true street ,if I ever make one of those. I dont think I would keep up with the true street racers as they are running in the 8.30's but if I can get into the .50's I'll be competetive and in the hurricane series that would be real competitive.
