Phantom has never had much in the line of communication skills.
If I may.
I think what he was "trying" to convey was.
Ron asked a general question.
Trying to see what you guys think?
About what?
About the bike has been down for awhile and I'm back.
I say, GREAT going. I've had 1 down for several years too, and it sucks.
About how clean the bike is?
NOPE.
About the battery hanging out the side?
NOPE.
About my new long arm?
HELL YEAH!
All about the stretch!
About my sidewinder?
HELL YEAH again!
Looks like BROCK. Please don't say Muzzy.
About the body?
Without a doubt the best looking body to ever come on a ZX-12!!
Now, what I don't get is, and I know looks don't make ya fast, and I know all folks don't give a care about looks, BUT DAMMMM.
$100 worth of black powdercoat on that arm and $100 for a black ceramic coat job on that header and the bike would be a real looker!
A couple hunert $$$ and the bike would have a total makeover.
Washing don't cost, but Ron said it's been sitting up. No problem there. He'll get it clean when he has time.
Ya'll give Phantom a pass, he's a stepchild on every board.
Keep pluggin away Ron.
I hope you don't take my post the wrong way.

Geez, so touchy on the forums guys. Relax.
NOX - I think sometimes I catch a lot of heat because I'm a straight shooter. I tell it how it is and "callz'um howz I seez'um".
He asked an honest question (very vague and generalized) and I gave an honest answer. I don't know what kind of responses he thought he'd get... but let's be real for a second. It doesn't look all that quick... and it doesn't look all that clean.
RQUINN- No, we're not cut from the same cloth, you are right about that. I'm a 1 mile racer, you're a 1/4 mile racer. I never tried to compare myself to you.... I simply asked how fast/quick the bike was, being that it looks like an average dragbike.... not a showbike or even a "looker", just a dragbike. This being said, WHAT DOES IT RUN?
Please don't think I was making a crack on your bike or disrespecting you... I just think it was a silly question to ask how it "looks". Oh, and I don't care to race you in the 1/4 mile, I've got no beef with you. In fact, I give you "mad props" for rocking the 12r at the track. We're a dying breed.
KZscott- Find one thread/post/pm on the internet where I claimed my bike looked good. lol I know my bike is very rough around the edges, they don't call it "THE JUNKYARD DOG" for nothing. It's a race bike, it doesn't have to look good to go fast. All the $$$ is in the performance of the bike. I do intend on having it painted and making everything look as OEM as possible.... eventually.
Oh, I like the 00-01 (A model) Ram air snorkel better too.... but even that was done for the sole purpose of getting lower. The better look was just a bonus! =)
Sleeperbusa - I think you "GET" what I was trying to say. Thanks for putting it in a more subtle way for those who may be a little sensitive. No worries here though... I've developed Rhino Skin on the forums, I'll listen to whatever anyone has to say to me or about me... I've got plenty of ammo. =)

First things first this is a dragbike forum looks is cool but I am asking dragracer what do that thing meaning that I am open for suggestions on setup thats why it was post that why. I ask the guys trying to see what you guys think dragracers usually know what that mean. I have no problem with you Phantom I don't do what you do with the mile I have a factory paint job bike only has 2900 original miles on it. I have been 9.37 @ 148 when it was stock at 61" with a 1.56 60Ft on the hand clutch. However after that pass the clutch was shot to shit. In the dragrace world they know what I am look for when the topic is that way especially on psychobike. Just trying to get ideals from other forums but its all good when I put the built motor numbers up I will pm them to you.

thats good mph for a stock motor. i was getting lots of 147s and i did get one 148. looking for 155 on motor this year. which is just for bragging rights, we all know et is the real goal, but 9.00 at 155 just sounds better than 9.00 at 145
there was a 1270 that was getting close to 155 mph. best et was a 9.04, but he isnt as long as you(only 4 over). you should run 8s

actually, 9.00 at 145 is better.......
9.00 at 155 is leaving et on the table...........
You will run 8s after we tune your clutch, don't worry............, it will come.

Hey KZ Scott that was on 87 pump gas which I found out first hands that race fuel will slow you down. On that same day I put some 110 VP in that som bitch went backward quickly reason being that I did that was because I ran out of regular fuel. But it was running like 120 to 122 @ the 1/8 after the fuel swap 115 to 116mph @ the 1/8 I am 205lbs in street clothes hopefully with NOX help I will get in those low numbers on this Lock-UP be getting with you soon NOX.

did you have any added timing running 87? i had 3 degrees advanced and ran 91 to be safe....i know running more octane than required will hurt power, but i wasnt sure what the limit was with added timing
thx

it does, but that gives you less brake line length. the grommet is sort of "melted" to the line, but if you are very careful you can cut it free and slide it up the line wherever you want it. i did it on dads bar bike the other day to get the grommet in the clasp and have enough line to work with
